Twice this week, Americans have learned there is nothing — literally nothing — to the bogus “Trump-Russia collusion” narrative that Democrats and the Washington establishment have been pushing now for more than two years.
On Tuesday, we reported that POTUS Donald Trump’s former top White House lawyer, John Dowd, who says he is intimately familiar with everything that Robert Mueller has, including all of his witnesses and evidence, does not believe the special counsel will issue a final public report because he hasn’t found anything at all to suggest the 2016 Trump campaign worked with Mother Russia to “steal the election” from Hillary Clinton, or that Trump himself is a Manchurian candidate acting on behalf of Vladimir Putin.
In a far-ranging interview for the first episode of “The Investigation,” a new podcast that focuses on Mueller’s investigation, defense attorney John Dowd told ABC News he believes the high-profile, massive, two-year probe into alleged Trump-Russia “collusion” to “steal” the 2016 election was “a terrible waste of time.”
More importantly, he doesn’t think Mueller will even issue a parting shot.
“I don’t think there’ll be a report,” he said, according to ABC News. “I will be shocked if anything regarding the president is made public, other than, ‘We’re done.’”
In the lengthy podcast interview, Dowd’s impression of the probe matched Trump’s view — that it’s been a witch hunt and huge unnecessary distraction from his presidency.
“I know exactly what [Mueller] has,” Dowd told the interviewers.
“I know exactly what every witness said, what every document said. I know exactly what he asked. And I know what the conclusion or the result is,” he added, in providing a description of the wide-ranging efforts by the president’s legal team to gauge progress in the case by speaking to dozens of witnesses.
Based on that knowledge, Dowd said, “there’s no basis. There’s no exposure. It’s been a terrible waste of time.”
Also Tuesday, reports noted that Senate Intelligence Committee’s chairman, Richard Burr (R-N.C.), said after two years and after interviewing some 200 witnesses and reviewing more than 300,000 pages of documents, his panel is left with no other conclusion except that the collusion allegations are bogus because members have found no evidence to support the contention.
All of this proves, of course, that the collusion narrative was fabricated out of whole cloth by the Obama-run Deep State to not only ‘explain’ Hillary’s unexpected loss, but to purposely undermine a legitimately-elected president and to keep him from performing his constitutional duties as head of the Executive Branch and leader of our country.
In any other time, these acts would have been considered treasonous, for in hampering our president the Deep State operatives — James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, James Clapper, John Brennan, and, yes, Barack Obama — have provided “aid and comfort” to our enemies.
They are acts of treason still.

But nevertheless, no matter what the Senate Intelligence Committee’s chairman says or the former top White House lawyer (who says he has maintained regular contact with POTUS since leaving a year ago), Democrats are so heavily invested in the hoax they are already vowing to ‘expand the Russia probe’ beyond even the outrageously inappropriate parameters of Mueller’s probe.Axios’ Mike Allen reports:
Mueller is just the beginning. House Democrats plan a vast probe of President Trump and Russia — with a heavy focus on money laundering — that will include multiple committees and dramatic public hearings, and could last into 2020.
The aggressive plans were outlined yesterday by a Democratic member of Congress at a roundtable for Washington reporters. The member said Congress plans interviews with new witnesses, and may go back to earlier witnesses who “stonewalled” under the Republican majority.

The reporters, many of them steeped in the special counsel’s investigation, came away realizing that House Dems don’t plan to depend on Robert Mueller for the last word on interference in the 2016 election.
Allen says three congressional committees are already involved: The House Intelligence Committee is taking the lead, coordinating with House Financial Services on money-laundering questions and with House Foreign Affairs on Russia.
First up, other than trying to get the president’s tax returns: Finding out what he and Putin talked about during a private meeting, “whether that’s subpoenaing the notes or subpoenaing the interpreter or other steps.”
That’s unheard of. That’s beyond inappropriate. And frankly, there is no precedent for it.
Such requests can be easily swatted away by the president, who could — and should — claim such conversations are protected under executive privilege. But of course, that won’t satisfy Democrats who will no doubt seek relief in the courts or find other ways, legal and illegal, to continue harassing Trump.
Now is the time for all Americans to rally around the president — not just his supporters. If we care at all about restoring the rule of law, reinvigorating our institutions, and rebuilding the trust in our processes so vitally for civil society to remain civil, we have to protect not just President Trump but the integrity of the office he holds.
Democrats aren’t just trying to destroy the current occupant of the White House; they’re trying to destroy the entire system.
