WOW: Nunes says Comey’s FBI excluded exculpatory evidence against Carter Page to get FISA warrants

(National SentinelIllegal: Listening to Democrats complain about POTUS Donald Trump’s criticism the Obama administration’s Justice Department and FBI gets harder all the time as new evidence continues to emerge regarding the utter lawlessness and politicization of both.

The latest bit of evidence indicating that former AG Loretta Lynch and fired FBI Director James Comey were rotten to the core comes from House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes. The California Republican said Monday he believes Comey’s FBI hid evidence that would have exonerated former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page when the Bureau applied for FISA warrants so they could spy on him.

As The Daily Caller reports:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes claimed Monday that the FBI and Justice Department failed to include exculpatory evidence in surveillance warrant applications against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

There is exculpatory evidence that we have seen, of classified documents that need to be declassified,” Nunes said in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

“Exculpatory in nature in what way? Exculpatory in what way?” Hannity asked.

“In that the Carter Page FISA, when the judges should have been presented with this exculpatory evidence that the FBI and DOJ had,” Nunes replied.

Republicans have asserted that the FBI and Justice Department misled the FISA Court by relying heavily on the unverified and Democrat-funded dossier to obtain four FISA warrants on Page. The dossier, which was written by former British spy Christopher Steele, claims that Page met with two Kremlin insiders during a July 2016 trip to Moscow. It also alleges that Page was directly involved in a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian government to influence the election.

Nunes, along with other Republicans on the panel, has called on POTUS Trump to declassify all FISA court documents filed by the FBI and DoJ when seeking a warrant to spy on Page, who has denied all of the allegations against him and in fact who has also never been charged with any crimes.

In July we reported that FBI agent Peter Strzok’s sworn testimony regarding his knowledge and handling of those FISA applications contradicts what has been discovered in heavily redacted documents.

He claimed he had nothing to do with them, but recall that at the time he was the FBI’s No. 2 counterintelligence official — and the spy operation launched against Page and the Trump campaign was counterintelligence.

Documents obtained by Judicial Watch appear to indicate otherwise.

The released documents make clear that Strzok did indeed provide info that was utilized to secure FISA warrants against Page.

The documents also show that the FBI and DoJ were not fully transparent with the FISA court because they failed to make it crystal clear a primary document being used to justify the warrant — the infamous “Russia Dossier” — was just political opposition research and unverified at that.

On Monday we reported that investigative journalist Paul Sperry tweeted POTUS Trump may declassify those documents this month.

Let’s hope so. It’s time.
