(National Sentinel) Deadly Hypocrite: Former Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder told “March for Our Lives” demonstrators on Saturday they should “demand action” from Congress regarding new gun control measures.

“Today we march. Then we vote,” Holder said in a tweet, adding: “This must be a movement. Not a moment. Remain committed, demand action.”

Critics were quick to point out that Holder was responsible for approving an operation known as “Fast and Furious” early in President Obama’s first term.

The operation centered around allowing U.S.-bought semi-automatic rifles and weapons to “walk” across the border into Mexico, with the stated goal of tracking them to various drug cartels.

The Justice Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives would later admit they lost track of most of the guns, many of which were later used to kill as many as a few hundred people.

One of the dead was U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.

Holder and Obama were never held responsible for the operation, which investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson later discovered was really designed as a push for new bans on certain so-called “assault” weapons — the same guns that the March for Our Lives protests are targeting.

“In Fast and Furious, ATF secretly encouraged gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels to go after the ‘big fish,'” Attkisson reported.

“But ATF whistleblowers told CBS News and Congress it was a dangerous practice called ‘gunwalking,’ and it put thousands of weapons on the street. Many were used in violent crimes in Mexico. Two were found at the murder scene of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.”
