Did Lindsey Graham EVER intend to expose Spygate coup conspirators? Because now he’s going to step down (Video)

(TNS) When Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) took over the chairmanship of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee last year, he promised to get to the bottom of the Spygate coup conspiracy against President Trump.

He pledged to hold hearings, haul noted figures before the committee and grill them until they gave him answers.

More than year into his tenure, Graham hasn’t done jack.

He’s held no hearings related to Spygate. He’s called no witnesses to testify. He’s not. done. anything.

And now, we hear, he’s going to relinquish his chairmanship next year (if the GOP holds the Senate, as expected) and give it back to Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), who relinquished it to become chair of the Senate Finance Committee.

Politico:

Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) plans to hand the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee back to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa.) in the next Congress.  Graham took over the panel this year from Grassley, who left to chair the Senate Finance Committee.

In an interview Thursday, Graham said Grassley asked to come back after his tenure on the Senate Finance Committee. Graham responded “absolutely.”

“Love Chuck Grassley. That’s the way the Senate works,” Graham said. “He took the Finance Committee so I could be chairman, and he’ll come back and fill out his time, and I’ll come back, and somebody else will come along.”

What’s going on here?

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on his program Thursday night to discuss it all.

Watch:

The Conservative Treehouse explored this further:

The Senate Judiciary Committee could be questioning a myriad of people from the DOJ, FBI and national security apparatus that have been identified as participating in a lengthy scheme to usurp the office of the presidency; however, Senator Graham has done nothing.

Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko presented US Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham with the Order of Freedom and the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise respectively, ahead of a US delegation meeting in Kiev, 2016.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will have structural organizational responsibilities for an upcoming senate impeachment trial after the House impeachment managers deliver their articles of impeachment.

Did we all just see some of the Washington two-step? Did Graham set this up so he could chair a committee that could have been providing us with answers all along so he could sabotage any effort to do so?

Or is he merely protecting the process while Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham finish their criminal probe into the Spygate conspirators?

Because it’s one or the other.

But given Graham’s close affiliation with the late Sen. McCain, and knowing his animosity towards President Trump, we’re more inclined to believe the latter at this point.

We’ll see how it all plays out.

how about the GOP find someone with the ability to do more then talk about doing things and put him/her in that position? of course it would have to be someone who laughs at the democrats and their silliness and right now the only republican that fits that description is our President and he isn’t going anywhere. miss lindsey seems to have never had the guts to do anything about anything. and why is he waiting until 2020? if he had any patriotism at all, he would step down now.

Just as ‘we’ had to replace the do-nothing Sessions ultimately with AG Barr, we need to replace the do-nothing Graham with someone who actually will do what they say they will do; their job.

Graham is part of the SWAMP, why would he investigate his own? He’s a Never Trumper, wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him

It’s hard to guess his motivation. Look at Jeff Sessions. He wasn’t a Deep Stater; he was just a tired old doofus with zero potency left in his fossilized testes. We ignorantly ascribe undeserved nobility/genius/competence to members of Congress, but then when they actually have to “DO” anything, they often prove to be stupid, flaccid turds. Really, why would we expect more? We are only even aware of their existence because they won some popularity contest among other pasty, two-faced, promise-the-world wankers. Wow! Anyone aged 18 and up-that’s the only rule-gets to decide who runs our country! Cool system, bro.

Graham is protecting senators Richard Burr and Mark Warner of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Warner took an active part in the coup. Burr, the Chairman, helped him cover it up. The reason that the staff member who leaked the FISA document to his reporter girlfriend was only charged with one count of lying to the FBI, was because to charge him with everything would expose the Senators. AG Barr protected them. Barr will be protecting many others in the deep state, of which he is a part.

John McCain was a part of the coup?

Why not do it now? Lindsey does not want to uncover McCain’s wrong doings so nothing done.

Yeah; looks like no one can rely on Flimsy Graham to take any action…promised or otherwise. I’d like to be surprised to the contrary; however, I wonder if Flimsy is under someone’s thumb and lacks the courage to do what needs to be done.

Hearts are turning against Graham due to his all talk and no action. He is been little more than a DC showpiece.

There is NO reason that Graham should not have been conducting parallel hearings—as soon as a Dem operative testified to Schiff’s “star chamber” they should have been transported ,at the earliest, over to the Senate for open hearings. WTF is wrong w/ Graham? Why is PDJT not pressing him on this? Hello ” Is anyone on our side capable of understanding counterattacks?
The Dems are being allowed to run out the clock and Lindsay saving his timeouts besides offering NO defense. Sheeesh! No wonder we get POd !

Flimsy is a gutless pretender. He has never had an original idea in his pitiful azz kissing live. When Johnnie died Flimsy appeared to come out of his shadow only to retreat in cowardice when action was called for. Much worse than Sessions, but of the same spineless cut. He should step down immediately but is going to pull a Paul Ryan and try his best to hand over the Senate to the socialist-democrats.

The longer the ‘spygate’ investigation goes on, the more Trump get smeared.

There is no reason for them not to have issued indictments, except because they are not going to issue any. They’re just getting their paper trails and evidence fixed so that when Trump pulls the plug and puts in someone new, the new person can’t find it.

That’s all. If the people thought they had really won, finally, when they elected Trump, they were seriously underestimating the enemy within this country.

Graham, Like MOST of the D.C. Cesspool, dragged his feet on this VERY important issue, and he SHOULD have been BEHIND POTUS TRUMP, who apparently cannot TRUST those who ‘pretend to have his back, but don’t act accordingly. So what happens, is that “WE THE PEOPLE, who voted for him, are REALLY disgusted with these “career politico liars, and we want them REMOVED from any positions, they hold, but are “ALL TALK AND NO ACTION.” If Graham is NOT acting on behalf of President Trump(who appears at times to stand alone, then Graham needs to LEAVE that position NOW…..I’d suggest… Read more »

Not much of an improvement. Grassley will probably die before he forms an investigation. Graham’s big moment was his defense of Kavanaugh and he dined off that for year. Grassley led this committee for years and as far as I can tell he’s done very little. Proof is in the pudding, let’s see what he does. All these republicans ever do is pull our dicks.

It was a Graham plot from the start to block investigation in the judiciary committee. Graham combined his coverup with statements of fake outrage, vowing to investigate. The self serving loudmouth coward did that to get votes. And he has tricked many conservatives, many still have faith in him.
