Hell froze: Washington Post corrects #NeverTrump columnist Rubin for lying about Mitch McConnell

This is what happens when Trump hate trumps everything else

By Tank Murdoch

(TNS) Just when you think the Washington Post is completely devoid of credibility, hell gets a little frosty.

More than a few Post columnists have displayed unhinged mental statuses of varying degrees since Donald Trump managed on his first foray into politics to capture the U.S. presidency. But one columnist, #NeverTrumper pretend conservative Jennifer Rubin, stands out from the pack.

Not only does she routinely attack Trump, but she also regularly turns her ire on Republican leaders as well, further exposing the pretend nature of her right-leaning political views.

The latest GOPer to draw some Rubin shade was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

In claiming that McConnell was intentionally slow-walking a House-passed coronavirus relief measure, Rubin wrote: “Finally, the Republican-led Senate is fiddling while Rome burns. The failure to take an immediate vote on the House’s relief package last week was emblematic of the sloth and irresponsibility of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.”

Wow, what a Republican Rubin is!

But there’s a problem with her accusation: It’s a lie. The House’s measure didn’t reach the Senate until Tuesday, the day Rubin filed her fact-free column.

That’s a question that has been asked frequently over the past three years of the Trump administration: ‘Where are the editors?’ — after every bogus ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ story, for example.

In any event, as Townhall notes, the Post did issue this correction:

An earlier version of this article incorrectly said that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) delayed a vote on the House’s coronavirus relief package. In fact, McConnell vowed to move at “warp speed” on the bill and it was only delayed due to a demand from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for an amendment on the bill. This version has been updated.

Eh, but that’s wrong, too.

It’s not been a good week for the WaPo scribe. She recently said on MSNBC there are going to be more Republicans dying from the Wuhan coronavirus than Democrats because they are taking the disease more seriously.

Mind-numbing ignorance.

This is what happens when you tolerate marxist-satanists.

They spread misery, worship lucifer, and eat babies. Revoke her press credentials. Revoke her passport. Revoke her citizenship, and send her to Palestine!

That depends on who you talk to.
Joe Alzheimer Biden says that - yes, the 1st amendment flat out states that the press can flat out lie to Americans.
but, somehow that taking your guns away from you and stripping you of your 2nd amendment rights is like yelling ‘ fire ‘
…he didn’t say ‘ in a crowded theatre or anything else, he just said ‘fire’ then broke off <— that's all his melanoma saturated brain can handle at once with typical, everyday, household phrasing.
