(NationalSentinel) Democrats and their Left-wing open-borders allies in the RINO party were outraged when POTUS Donald Trump threatened to impose steadily increasing tariffs on Mexico earlier this month unless our southern neighbor began to do more to interdict the thousands of migrants streaming through the country enroute to the U.S. border.
Within days of POTUS making his threat, Mexican foreign ministry officials met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and State Department officials to hammer out, and then sign, a Joint Declaration that staved off tariffs for a period of a few months while Mexico cracked down on migrant caravans.
Few politicos in D.C. have given the president’s plan and the Joint Declaration much chance of success, even after initial reports note that Mexico has stepped up and rapidly cracking down as promised.
In addition to internal immigration enforcement, Mexico has deployed 15,000 troops and National Guard personnel along the country’s southern and northern borders in a sure sign that the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) is serious about working with the Trump administration to curb illegal immigration into the U.S.
But now comes additional evidence that Trump’s plan, and the Joint Declaration, have a real long-term shot at being successful: Most Mexicans don’t support illegal immigration into their country, either.
A new survey published by a major Mexican newspaper shows significant public opposition to the migrants passing through Mexico in an effort to enter the United States.
Findings:
a plurality 44.4 % of Mexicans say government's response to undocumented migrants should be "expel them immediately." Only 9% say grant unconditional passage to the US— Charles Lane (@ChuckLane1) June 19, 2021

61.5% of Mexicans oppose the entry of undocumented migrants generally and 53+ % oppose President Lopez Obrador's plan to grant them work visas

60% said the right response to Trump's tariff threat was to bar entry to migrants.

Lane notes further: “It would appear that anti-migrant sentiment in Mexico is, if anything, stronger than it is in the U.S.”

Also, a solid majority (57 percent) opposing the Mexican government allowing illegal immigrants into the country and sheltering them. The Financial Times broke down the Mexican newspaper report and survey:
Some analysts blame Mexico’s own policies for the rise in migration. After taking office in December, Mr. López Obrador offered migrants humanitarian visas. Many used them to travel unimpeded towards the US border.
“They generated this problem with humanitarian visas — the figures tell you that this is a problem created by this administration,” said Jorge Buendía of polling group Laredo & Buendía. Even amid criticism that Mexico has conceded too much to the US, public opinion in Mexico is hardening against the migrants.
A poll this month by El Universal newspaper found nearly two-thirds in favour of refusing entry to undocumented migrants, a nearly 13 point rise since October when the first wave of migrants arrived in Mexico from Central America.

And there’s also this: The Trump administration provided AMLO’s government with intelligence that ISIS suspects were headed to the Mexican border, enroute to the U.S. — which didn’t hurt POTUS Trump’s case.
1. We broke news that US identified ISIS suspects heading to border and warned Mexico.
2. Mexico’s President and other high ranking officials are now on record saying it’s true.
3. US media outlets still aren’t reporting on it, but Mexico’s media outlets are reporting on it.

Naturally, our garbage “mainstream” media isn’t touching the story because like Google, they tend to censor anything positive about this president.
