It should be obvious after top U.S. military commanders testified before a Senate committee earlier today that these people are completely unaccountable and colossally arrogant to boot.
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley comes to mind, specifically.
He was grilled over the disastrous pull out of Afghanistan, which he obviously agreed to because he refused to step down when he claims he advised Joe Biden to leave troops there.
He also refused to accept any responsibility for anything having to do with other multiple failures in Afghanistan.
An honorable man would do the right thing, accept responsibility, and step down.
But Milley isn’t honorable.
As reported by Newsmax:
Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, disregarded Sen. Tom Cotton’s suggestion on Tuesday that he should resign due to the handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, according to Mediaite.
“As a senior military officer, resigning is a really serious thing,” Milley said in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee. “It’s a political act if I’m resigning in protest. My statutory responsibility is to provide legal advice or the best military advice to the president.
”That’s my legal requirement. That’s what the law is. The president doesn’t have to agree with that advice. He doesn’t have to make those decisions just because we’re generals,” he said.
In the past, generals with honor resigned when they disagreed with their commander-in-chief; it happened recently, during the Trump administration.
Milley has no such honor. Because he actually is a politician.
Our military is going to get its ass kicked somewhere on the planet, sometime soon, not because the troops are bad but because they they are being led by cowards like Milley.

Around the world, supply chains continue to be disrupted. Delays are now commonplace. And they're going to get worse.
There IS a financial reset coming - that's just true. All the signs indicate as much.
