So, we’ll admit it.

We had really high hopes when William Barr agreed to reprise his role as attorney general under President Donald Trump.

The guy said during his testimony he believed that the 2016 Trump campaign was “spied” on.

He used the world. He said it plainly.

Surely, this guy wouldn’t be the disappointment that Jeff Sessions was. Surely Barr would be the dude who got serious about cleaning up an obviously corrupt Justice Department and FBI that he dearly loved and had served before.

But no.

Not a damned thing happened to anyone associated with illegally spying on Trump’s campaign, save for a low-level FBI lawyer who wound up doing no time at all.

What’s more, Barr refused to act when the election was literally stolen from Trump from under the noses of 75 million Americans who voted to reelect him.

Then he called Trump’s claims “bullshit,” if we’re to believe a forthcoming book.

Well, Trump took to his memo pad on Sunday and issued a scathing — and correct — assessment of his former AG, per USA Features News:

Former President Donald Trump ripped William Barr following published comments over the weekend that the former attorney general allegedly called Trump's election claims 'bulls**t.'

Barr's comment was included in a new book, 'Betrayal,' set for release by ABC News White House correspondent Jonathan Carl, who indicated that the then-attorney general pushed back on requests from the former administration to look into Trump's claims of widespread voter fraud.

'Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election,' Trump said in a statement issued late Sunday night, The Hill reported.

'Just like he did with the Mueller report and the cover up of Crooked Hillary and RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don't want to investigate the real facts,' he added.

'Bill Barr's weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century, the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!' Trump wrote, adding that at a former attorney general, Barr 'shouldn't be speaking about the president.'

Trump is 110% correct, as usual.

And frankly, we believe at some point Trump is also going to be proven right about the 2020 election theft.

Hide and watch.

The fact that the establishment is pushing back so hard on Trump’s claims nearly guarantees he’s right.
