Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago is a dirtbag racist, straight up.
Last week she claimed on her two-year anniversary in office that only journalists of color could come interview her.
What’s more, she bitched about the number of white journalists among the ranks of Chicago’s press organizations.
She essentially accused all of them of intentionally excluding black and Hispanic journalists from their staffs, which is absurd on its face and a lie.
But she said what she said because she figured in a city full of people who keep electing racist dirt bags like her she would get away with it.
So far, so good. But she is taking some flak.
From her police department.
It’s not as if Chicago PD has had much love lost for Lightfoot in the first place.
She’s a typical Marxist: Light-on-crime approach and the first to throw her officers under the bus if some perp of the ‘wrong color’ is harmed or killed because they were being knuckleheads.
What’s more, she has used the lie of COVID to deprive the department of its traditions.
Now, the department’s union is pushing back on her big time, and her chosen leaders, per The Epoch Times:
Chicago's largest police union on Wednesday issued a vote of no confidence against Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Chicago Police Department Superintendent David Brown.
The vote came during a Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) meeting where police officers vented their frustrations, new and old, with the mayor and and the police department, Chicago FOP president John Catanzara told The Epoch Times.
Emotions were running high, Catanzara said, and one member grabbed the microphone to suggest a vote of no confidence. All members present at the meeting, about 150 active and retired police officers, voted for it.
His members' newest frustration with the city leaders, according to Cantanzara, is the cancellation of a eight-decade-old Chicago tradition—the St. Jude Memorial March—for the second year in a row. The march is an annual May event honoring fallen Chicago police officers and Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the line of duty.
Brown said he canceled the march due to COVID-19 restrictions in an online video honoring the St. Jude tradition. 'We must never forget their sacrifices and the families they left behind,' he said.
'It was a slap in the face to every department member, especially the Gold Star families, who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and deserve that respect annually, period, no excuses,' Cantanzara said in a video update right after the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chicago cops are forced to work overtime week in and week out because they’re short on officers. They can’t do their jobs because they are afraid of getting jammed up by a chicken-shit police chief and a political mayor. So crime is way, way up.
And now, a racist mayor and lackey police chief dump on a tradition for fallen cops.
The wheels are coming off law enforcement in our largest cities. This is not going to end well.
