Liz Cheney of Wyoming is part of a dying ‘Republican’ breed but she, like the other RINOs she pals with, are too arrogant to understand that.
She’s been on the wrong side of just about every issue working Americans have supported, like closing our borders, protecting our own manufacturing jobs, and staying out of every freaking brushfire war that pops up.
Cheney is a globalist. She is a corporatist (though corporate CEOs have gone woke). She is a ‘hawk’ when it comes to foreign policy. She loves to attack sandbox countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, but wants to let China, a real threat, off the hook because it’s ‘good for business.’
Now she opened her mouth again on Monday just to remind everyone why today’s GOP has no place for RINOs like her.
The Epoch Times notes:
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said on April 26 that Republicans Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are the leaders of the Republican Party, opposing her colleagues' idea that former President Donald Trump has great influence over the party.
Cheney has spoken out harshly against Trump and was 1 of 10 Republican House members who voted to impeach him after the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. Her response about Republican leadership came when a reporter asked her what role she would like to see the former president take in Republicans regaining control of the House and Senate in 2022.
'I think right now, the Republican Party is headed by Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy in the House. I think our elected leaders are the ones who are in charge of the Republican Party,' Cheney said while at a House Republicans' policy retreat in Florida.
'I think as we look at '22 and '24, we're very much going to be focused on substance and on the issues,' Cheney added. 'And I think that's where you've got to attract back the voters that we lost in 2020, by conveying to them that, in fact, we are the party that they can trust. We're the party of competence and of conservative principles.'
Hey Liz, The GOP is Trump’s party. Period.
It isn’t your daddy’s GOP. It isn’t George Bush’s GOP. It’s Donald Trump’s party, as evidenced by the fact that candidates he picks win elections, not those picked by you, Jeb, and the Bush/Cheney cabal.
Maybe you should just retire now before you get your ass kicked next year in the midterms.
There is no need for you to get embarrassed, though frankly, real mom-and-pop conservatives would love to see it.
