For decades, Republicans were routinely accused of ‘being in the pocket of Corporate America’ and frankly, that was true.
Most corporations favored the GOP because the GOP was the party of low taxes, low regulations, and low government interference in the capitalist machinations of the business world.
But times, they have changed: Corporations are now solidly in the corner of the Democrat Party because the CEOs running them have gone ‘woke’.
The latest indication of this transition comes in the form of corporate opposition to free and fair elections.
Corporations by the hundreds are signing on to an effort to oppose fair voting measures being pushed by Republican state legislatures after the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump vis a vis backdoor changes made to election laws that enabled widespread mail-in balloting and, thus, widespread fraud.
Anyone who seriously believes Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, two political zeros who couldn’t draw flies to a BS festival during their campaign, got 81 million votes, well, this outlet has some oceanfront property in Colorado to sell you.
Breitbart News reports:
Hundreds of corporations, including Starbucks, Amazon, and Netflix, have signed a letter signaling their opposition to election integrity efforts in numerous states, promising to oppose any related legislation they deem 'discriminatory.'
The effort, led by former American Express chief executive Kenneth Chenault and Merck chief executive Kenneth Frazier, both of whom recently led a group of black business leaders urging corporations to take a stand against election integrity efforts, has corporations vowing to stand against 'any discriminatory legislation,' representing what the New York Times deemed 'the broadest coalition yet to weigh in on the issue.'
'We stand for democracy,' the statement reads. 'A beautifully American idea, but a reality denied to many for much of this nation's history. As Americans, we know that in our democracy we should not expect to agree on everything.”
However, regardless of our political affiliations, we believe the very foundation of our electoral process rests upon the ability of each of us to cast our ballots for the candidates of our choice. For American democracy to work for any of us, we must ensure the right to vote for all of us. We all should feel a responsibility to defend the right to vote and to oppose any discriminatory legislation or measures that restrict or prevent any eligible voter from having an equal and fair opportunity to cast a ballot,” it goes on.
'Voting is the lifeblood of our democracy,' the statement continues, calling on Americans to take a 'nonpartisan stand for this most basic and fundamental right of all Americans.'
This is why these corporate CEOs are now solid Democrat groupthinkers: Their hypocrisy is unrivaled.
How is ensuring that someone is legally able to cast a ballot unfair or racist or ‘harmful to our democracy’?
If these jerks were serious about what they’re saying, they would support any effort to ensure the integrity of our elections.
But no. They’re leftists first and corporate CEOs second, so the only thing that matters to them is empowering the tyrants who will protect them from competitors.
Our country is gone, folks. It’s gone. It no longer exists as it was founded.
The Marxist left has taken over everything in our society and within our institutions with the exception of the military — and Biden’s handlers are working on that, too.
So the question is: When do we start over?
