How many times, over the years, have Democrats complained during Republican administrations that the military was being “politicized” or “misused?”
Don’t bother checking it out via DuckDuckGo; we already have.
The answer: A lot, especially during the Trump administration.
They complained that Trump ‘militarized’ the U.S. border because he sent National Guard troops there to assist Border Patrol and other federal immigration authorities.
They whined when The AP reported that Trump allegedly wanted the USS John McCain hidden from view during a visit to Japan.
They lambasted Trump for wanting to add a military parade to the Fourth of July celebration in Washington, D.C. in 2019.
And so on.
Speaking of the National Guard and Washington D.C., however, now that Democrats are in charge, they have no problems at all politicizing the military and using Guard members as props for their cheap political theater.
It’s all more than just a bit much, freshman U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (D-Ala.), noted Friday in an interview with a local talk radio station.
'[I] live a hundred yards from my office,' he said. 'I actually bought a house next to Mitch McConnell. Having a lot of it reworked. It's only 1,000 square feet. That is kind of a small place. That's all you need, but it's a war zone. I've never seen anything like it. My dad was in the military forever and National Guard. We've had 25,000 National Guard people there, I guess for now for three weeks. I guess now we're down to maybe 10,000 now. But we have 20 miles of razor wire all the way around all of the buildings — the Capitol, the Senate buildings. These guys and girls have been sleeping outside my office on the floor. We take candy out to them, popcorn. They've been given MREs. It's a shame,” he said.
You bet, it is. And what’s even more shameful is why these men and women are still deployed to the nation’s capital. But Tuberville knows why.
'It really disappointed me how people handled that,' Tuberville said of the GOP after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol Building. 'It is what it is, and it is kind of like in a football game. We fumbled three or four times in a row there as Republicans, and now we've got to fight back because they're using it against us every day with all these troops and the razor wire, and 'Republicans are bad,' and you know 'we want to take over the world.' But we'll come back. We just got to keep a positive attitude, and work and work for the people of this country.'
We will keep banging this drum for as long as it takes to wake up as many Americans as possible to the fact that one party in our country — Democrats — are trying to gaslight us all into a massive civil conflict with horrific implications for the future of our country and the world.
The troops are props, nothing more; they are still deployed and will remain in D.C. until Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, and Kamala Harris milk every last ounce of political advantage out of them — which is premised on this message: ‘Republicans are Trumpists, they are insurrectionists, they are racists, they are white supremacists, and they will attack us again like they did earlier this month.‘
Literally, none of that is true.
Biden's inflation is GETTING WORSE by the month...
Around the world, supply chains continue to be disrupted. Delays are now commonplace. And they're going to get worse.
There IS a financial reset coming - that's just true. All the signs indicate as much.
