Cancel the patriots…
Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley is a patriot, a constitutionalist, and, really, everything our founding fathers believed political leaders should be.
He believes in equal treatment under the law, and that comes from his stint as the state’s attorney general, no doubt.
He also believes the Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and that when it is violated, there is harm to our system of government — and to the people.
That said, Hawley believes sincerely that the Constitution’s clauses giving state legislatures the sole power to decide voting laws and processes were violated by several battleground states ahead of the November election.
He also thinks that was intentional — that in the months preceding Nov. 3 election, Democratic legal teams moved into key states including Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, and convinced state executive branch officials, under the guise of ‘COVID safety,’ to change voting rules and procedures in ways that helped Joe Biden. Democrat-dominated state courts upheld some of the changes.
Hawley says that under Article II, governors, secretaries of state, and courts cannot change voting procedures and rules, regardless of the reason.
He’s absolutely right.
As such, he was also right to object to slates of electors from some of those states, because that’s what upholding the Constitution looks like.
Democrats have done as much in the past, and several times when Republican presidents were elected.
Hell, practically the entire party refused to accept Donald Trump’s 2016 victor, claiming ‘The Russians!!’ helped him ‘steal’ the election. They didn’t; investigations proved that.
So why is Josh Hawley being punished, canceled, ostracized?
Just the News reports on the latest insult to the integrity of this public servant:
A fundraiser with GOP Sen. Josh Hawley slated to take place at Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando in February will no longer occur at that facility, according to the hotel.
“We are horrified and opposed to the events at the Capitol and all who supported and incited the actions,” Lowes Hotels said in a tweet. “In light of those events and for the safety of our guests and team members, we have informed the host of the Feb. fundraiser that it will no longer be held at Loews Hotels.”
Florida attorney Daniel Uhlfelder, who described Hawley as a “traitor,” shared a flyer about the event on Twitter. The Fighting for Missouri PAC’s flyer called for people to “join” the Republican senator “for a Fun-Filled-Family-Friendly Orlando Weekend Event.” The flyer directed checks to be made payable to Fighting for Missouri PAC, which is reportedly affiliated with Hawley. It raised in excess of $272,000 for the senator during the 2020 election cycle, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Make no mistake, slaves to the system like this buffoon are cowards. They are the insurrectionists; they seek to destroy our founding, our traditions, and yes, our constitutional system.
Their masters are big government tyrants who lie to people with claims of ‘unity’ and ‘peace’ and ‘democracy.
Clowns like Uhlfelder are exactly the kind of ‘loyalists’ to the crown our founders rebelled against.
As for Loews, well, what can you say? A private business can do what it wants.
But they don’t get their own set of facts: What happened at the Capitol was preplanned to entrap Trump supporters into a cycle of delegitimization so they can be targeted, canceled, and eventually…
Well, you get the idea.
Hawley, in standing up for our Constitution, DID THE RIGHT THING. So, too, did Sen. Ted Cruz and the dozens of House Republicans who also opposed unconstitutional changes to state voting laws.
We need more like them, not fewer, in government.
And boy, could we do with far fewer cowards and big government bootlickers like Uhlfelder.
