It should be painfully obvious by now that Democrats don’t know a damned thing about running successful governments.
Because in every case, their states and their cities are economic disasters.
Too many taxes. Too much regulation. Nannyism abounds, which greatly impacts individual freedom and liberty. All of which impedes growth and stifles opportunity, all while the Democrat elites rake in the wealth and lord over the masses.
In short, Democrats govern the way King George used to govern our founders — and we know how that turned out.
But finally, Americans who have existed in these hell holes have had enough, and that includes the not-so-great state of New York.
For a decade, people have fled the state in droves — so much so that it’s liable to cost New York a congressional delegate. Or two.
More residents left New York over the last year than did residents from any other state, new population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show.
According to early census figures, a net total of 126,355 people packed their bags and ditched the Empire State between July 2019 and July 2020, marking a 0.65% percent drop. That’s the most by any state in the nation by both number and percentage.
Following close behind New York, in terms of percentage loss, were Illinois (0.63%), Hawaii (0.61%), and West Virginia (0.58%). Meanwhile, the big population gainers over the past year were western and southern states such as Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, South Carolina, and Florida.
It gets better.
The Empire State’s population fell by 126,355 people between July 2019 and July 2020, to 19.3 million, a drop of 0.65%, according to the preliminary figures. That’s the most of any state by total and by percentage.
Population decline continues to be a problem for New York, and it could play out in 2022 during federal reapportionment. At this rate, New York could lose as many as two U.S. House seats; it will certainly lose one, dropping it from 27 to 26 seats and impacting its clout in Washington.
Now, hopefully, the people fleeing New York and other blue state socialist ‘paradises’ are not bringing bad voting habits with them when they relocate — as in, continuing to vote for moronic Democrats.
Because if they are, then they’re simply going to turn their new home into their old home, which would be monumentally stupid.
