There are fewer vile creatures in Congress than the original ‘Russian collusion truther’ Eric Swalwell.
For nearly four years, he’s spread the oft-debunked BS lie that President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign worked closely with Vlad Putin’s team to “steal the election” from another repugnant Democrat, the perennially-investigated Hillary Clinton.
There was never any truth to the collusion lie; in fact, documents from Russia that were intercepted by our own intelligence put the blame on her for creating the collusion hoax to begin with.
But we’ve been through all that.
This time, however, Swalwell has really stepped in it.
A suspected Chinese intelligence operative developed extensive ties with local and national politicians, including a U.S. congressman, in what U.S. officials believe was a political intelligence operation run by China's main civilian spy agency between 2011 and 2015, Axios found in a yearlong investigation. …
The suspected operative, a Chinese national named Christine Fang, enrolled as a student at Cal State East Bay in 2011.
Fang's friends and acquaintances said she was in her late 20s or early 30s, though she looked younger and blended in well with the undergraduate population. pic.twitter.com/cDhp8s8CTa

The woman at the center of the operation, a Chinese national named Fang Fang or Christine Fang, targeted up-and-coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage.
Fang took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell's 2014 re-election campaign, according to a Bay Area political operative and a current U.S. intelligence official. Swalwell's office was directly aware of these activities on its behalf, the political operative said. That same political operative, who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell’s behalf, found no evidence of illegal contributions.
Since being outed, naturally, this disgusting liar blamed — who else? — President Donald Trump.
Following a report that linked him to an alleged Chinese spy, Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell suggested the information was leaked to hurt him because of his frequent and loud criticism of President Trumphttps://t.co/Ah01n7yeIJ

Well, deflection blame isn’t good enough. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) wants Swalwell tossed off the House Intelligence Committee at a minimum and out of Congress at most.
