If President Donald Trump does somehow convince enough of the right people that mass vote fraud occurred during the 2020 election and thus win, rightfully, his reelection bid, he’s got a lot of housekeeping to do come Jan. 20.
And it appears as though his attorney general, Bill Barr, may be one of the officials who have to go.
Barr said, rather incredibly, on Tuesday that the Justice Department hasn’t found any evidence of widespread fraud — which means that nobody in the Justice Department is looking because the Trump campaign has oodles of it.
Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday that the Justice Department has not uncovered evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, despite claims by President Trump and his campaign's legal team.Barr, during an interview with The Associated Press Tuesday, said that U.S. attorneys and FBI officials have been working to follow up on specific complaints and information they have received, but have uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome of the election.
'To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told The Associated Press. …
Barr’s interview comes two days after Trump told Fox News that the DOJ has been “missing in action” on possible election fraud. Trump told “Sunday Morning Futures” Sunday that he has 'not seen anything' from the DOJ or FBI on investigating the 2020 election.
'You would think if you're in the FBI or Department of Justice, this is the biggest thing you could be looking at,' Trump said. 'Where are they? I've not seen anything. They just keep moving along and they go on to the next president,' he continued.
Fox, like the rest of the establishment media, went on to claim that the Trump campaign has “no evidence” of massive vote fraud.
The Trump campaign says it has near 1,000 sworn affidavits — under penalty of perjury — that successive federal courts refuse to look at or consider.
So if that is what the media mean when they say ‘no evidence,’ sure, that’s technically correct.
But that’s like saying your broken-down car isn’t broken down because you’re not driving it.
We had hoped that at least Bill Barr would remain loyal to a president who gave him the opportunity to rebuild an FBI and Justice Department badly damaged by that scandalous Barack Obama, but apparently, our hopes have been dashed.
Like Trump said, ‘On to the next president.’
