President Trump sent the garbage media and their Democratic allies into orbit (again) last week when he said he wanted to wait and see if the final vote tallies for the November election are valid and proper before he would concede defeat.
Somehow, that was spun into Trump ‘refusing to agree to a peaceful transition of power’ — the same BS lie that the left has been pushing now all summer.
‘Trump’s a tyrant! He won’t leave if he loses!’
Etc. Trump has literally never said that.
But as Democrats and their media sycophants continued to push for widening mail-in balloting this year due to ‘muh coronavirus,’ Trump and some Republicans increasingly voiced concerns that they were subject to massive voter fraud.
The president’s concerns have been substantiated time and time again throughout the primary season. Reports — most of them local because the corporate news lefties won’t cover the subject — have documented case after case of mail-in balloting problems.
Nevertheless, it was the Democrats who actually came out and said ‘no’ to a peaceful transition of power.
Hillary Clinton ‘advised’ Joe Biden not to “concede under any circumstances” — an outrageous thing to say in a republic that has survived on peaceful power transition.
But because it was Hillary and because she’s a Democrat, the crap Washington media yawned and looked the other way, instead accusing Trump of ‘refusing to concede.’
Now, finally, a Democrat has rebuked Hillary, sort of, over her comments.
A top Senate Democrat said Hillary Clinton was wrong to advise Joe Biden not to concede the election if he is losing to President Trump.
“I disagree with Hillary Clinton. I respect her. I like her. But I think she’s just flat out wrong. The election itself is going to be announced. The winner will be announced at some point. It’ll take a little longer with all the paper ballots that are being cast,” Sen. Dick Durbin, a Democrat from Illinois, told ABC’s This Week on Sunday.
Clinton, who lost to Trump in the 2016 election and conceded the morning after the contest, said in August that Biden “should not concede under any circumstances.”
So far, so good.
But then Durbin said this:
“But at some point, I hope my choice, Joe Biden, is elected president. But if we’re going to maintain a democracy, peaceful transition through an election is the only way to do it. Whoever the winner is, if it is clear and legal, that should be announced, and the other party should concede.”
That is all that Trump has been saying now for the past week: He wants to ensure that the vote tally ‘is clear and legal,’ especially amid reports that:
— The Biden camp has hired nearly 1,000 lawyers to contest as many election results as possible
— An ‘election integrity’ group featuring Hillary’s long-time associate and 2016 campaign manager, John Podesta, has ‘war-gamed’ various election outcomes that include many West Coast states seceding if Trump wins again or ‘refuses to leave’ the White House
— Democrat-friendly state and federal courts are already changing state voting and balloting laws in ways that favor Biden (like extending the time by days for voters to get their ballots turned in — even if they’re not postmarked) — conservative talker Mark Levin has addressed this frequently.
But when a Democrat says the same thing the president says, again…crickets.
Our media is horrible.
President Trump is Breaking Down the Neck of the Federal Reserve!
He wants zero rates and QE4!
