As the coronavirus pandemic continues to be the subject of fear porn by the mainstream media and ‘shutdown-for-good’ Democrats, there is some good news on the treatment front.

According to the most recent data, a vaccine being developed by AstraZeneca-Oxford is showing some decent promise, including a “robust” immune response to the virus.

Of course, a coronavirus vaccine that actually works isn’t what the media and Democrats want right now, because there goes the reasoning for keeping the country shut down and schools closed to hurt President Trump’s reelection chances.

The Washington Times reports:

A leading vaccine candidate from pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca and Oxford University showed a 'robust immune' response to the coronavirus in a randomized trial in humans, the company said Monday.

Researchers tried both a one-shot dose and a two-dose regimen of the vaccine known as AZD1222 in the phase I-II trial involving more than 1,000 adults.

'The immune responses observed following vaccination are in line with what we expect will be associated with protection against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, although we must continue with our rigorous clinical trial program to confirm this,' said Andrew Pollard, chief investigator of the Oxford vaccine trial.

'We saw the strongest immune response in participants who received two doses of the vaccine, indicating that this might be a good strategy for vaccination.'

There are currently more than 100 vaccine candidates at present.

As part of “Operation Warp Speed,” the Trump administration has offered financial support for the development of top vaccine candidates.
