Members of a radical Left-wing group who once changed, “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon!” — and were referring to police officers — are now members of a group whose approval rating is higher than that of Pope Francis.
According to Rasmussen Reports:
The popularity of the Black Lives Matter movement has climbed dramatically after several days of protest following the police killing of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of Black Lives Matter, with 32% who share a Very Favorable one. This compares to 37% and 13% respectively the last time we asked this question four years ago.
That means this radical organization is more popular than the president, Joe Biden, Congress, big business, the media, religious institutions, and even the pope, pointed out Fox News host Tucker Carlson last night. In fact, not only is BLM now essentially a 'political party,' averred the commentator, but it may now 'be the single most powerful party in the United States.'
Moreover, imagine 'a world where you are punished for questioning the behavior of the president or for insulting your local mayor,' Carlson later stated. 'You probably can't imagine that because it's too bizarre. It is un-American — but that is where we are right now.'
'Black Lives Matter has changed the rules,' the host continued, 'and here is the first new rule: No criticizing Black Lives Matter.'
No one doubts that ‘black’ lives matter. The problem, however, is that some of the same people doubt that anyone who isn’t black matters. That’s why you’ll get so much pushback online and in the garbage Leftist media when you say “All Lives Matter.”
Clearly, to many on the Left, they don’t.
And by the way, if you believe that BLM isn’t going to use its newfound power to stifle speech, squelch ideas it does not approve of, and shame people into silence under threat of being fired or otherwise losing their livelihood…think again.
