Americans angry about the deep state attempt to depose duly elected President Donald Trump have been literally waiting on Senate Republicans for years to launch a serious investigation into what happened.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has said scores of times during Fox News interviews that he was going to ‘get to the bottom’ of what happened, declaring that even before he took over as head of the Judiciary Committee.
But days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, and still nothing.
Now, however, it appears as though Graham is finally making good on his promise.
The South Carolina Republican is preparing to hold hearings into the Trump-Russia collusion hoax and his first witness is going to be former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, as The Epoch Times reports:
A former high-level Justice Department (DOJ) official, who was responsible for appointing former special counsel Robert Mueller, will testify to lawmakers who are probing the investigation into supposed links between then-candidate Donald Trump's campaign and Russia.
Mueller's investigation uncovered no evidence of such links and an increasing body of information points to the investigation being spurred by partisanship.
Rosenstein is set to appear before the committee June 3.
In a statement Wednesday, Rosenstein said he was grateful for the opportunity to testify 'about information that has come to light concerning the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act process and the FBI's counterintelligence decision-making, as a result of completed inquiries by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz and ongoing reviews by U.S. Attorneys John Durham and Jeff Jensen.'
'Independent law enforcement investigations, judicial review, and congressional oversight are important checks on the discretion of agents and prosecutors,' he continued. 'We can only hope to maintain public confidence if we correct mistakes, hold wrongdoers accountable, and adopt policies to prevent problems from recurring.'
Yada, yada, yada.
Recall that Rosenstein also reportedly suggested secretly recording President Trump while discussing ways to get enough Cabinet members to sign off on his ‘instability’ so the 25th Amendment could be invoked to roll Trump out of the Oval Office, as The New York Times reported:
The deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, suggested last year that he secretly record President Trump in the White House to expose the chaos consuming the administration, and he discussed recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr. Trump from office for being unfit.
Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy would later clarify that the actual conversation between Rosenstein and then-acting FBI chief Deputy Director Andrew McCabe did take place, though it might only have been part of gallows humor.
Whatever the purpose, the fact that it was discussed at all is seditious. Let’s hope some ‘brave Republican’ is willing to ask Rosenstein about it.

Around the world, supply chains continue to be disrupted. Delays are now commonplace. And they're going to get worse.
There IS a financial reset coming - that's just true. All the signs indicate as much.
