(TNS) Left-wing Democrats have no love for America as it was founded, believing that those who pledged their lives, sacred honor, and fortunes to birth the most prosperous and powerful country the world has ever known were racist, bigot, homophobes.
Never mind that the form of government they bequeathed us was specifically designed to right any legal, cultural, and social wrongs not handled at our founding — which we’ve done.
But the Garbage Party loves to invoke things like “fairness” and “the American way” when they are engaged in efforts to, in Barack Obama’s words, “fundamentally transform” our country into something the founders wouldn’t recognize.
To do that, Democrats have been shaming our leaders into accepting every global hard luck case we can possibly find — anyone who can run, walk, or drag themselves across our border. And if they can’t get here that way, we’ll essentially send for them.
According to the Pew Research Center, the United States led the world in accepting refugees until 2017 — the first full year of the Donald Trump presidency.

The trend of not accepting every global hard luck case continued into 2018, according to the analysis.
Now, mind you, as a reminder, the U.S. led the world in accepting refugees for decades. Now, it appears, other countries are doing ‘their fair share.’
The United States plans to admit a maximum of 18,000 refugees in fiscal year 2020, down from a cap of 30,000 in the one that ended Sept. 30, 2019, under a new refugee admissions ceiling set by the Trump administration. This would be the lowest number of refugees resettled by the U.S. in a single year since 1980, when Congress created the nation’s refugee resettlement program.
Even before the administration’s announcement, refugee resettlement in the U.S. had dropped to historic lows during Donald Trump’s presidency, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of State Department data.
As a result, the U.S. is no longer the world’s top country for refugee admissions. It had previously led the world on this measure for decades, admitting more refugees each year than all other countries combined.
The decline in U.S. refugee admissions comes at a time when the number of refugees worldwide has reached the highest levels since World War II.
So, is Trump just a meany who hates people that don’t look like him? Hardly; this president has done more for Americans of all ethnic groups than the previous three.
But the president knows that integration into our society is vital; turning refugees and immigrants into Americans is necessary for social and cultural stability.
Yes, we can all retain a piece of our ethnicity and ‘diversity,’ but we should not be so diverse we no longer share a common history and common objectives.
That’s already the case among American citizens; there is so much political polarization in our country today it’s become a national security issue (how many Left-leaning Americans, for instance, would either volunteer to ‘fight for Trump’ or allow themselves to be drafted, even though they’d be fighting for their own country?).

Adding millions of people from the second- and third-world from cultures very different than ours will only make the divide worse.
Trump is doing us all a favor by reducing social and cultural friction through “diversity,” but it won’t be seen that way by his political nemeses.
