(TNS) Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page is innocent, she wants you to know. She did nothing wrong. She’s not a “Spygate” co-conspirator. She and her former lover and former FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok didn’t plot against President Donald Trump.
No. None of what you’ve heard, read, or seen about her thus far is real.
Or so she wants you to believe.

After nearly two years of silence save for some behind-closed-doors testimony to the House last year, Page has resurfaced because she wants to ‘tell her story’ and ‘take back her own power.’
Just days before the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, is set to release his Spygate and FISA abuse report.
What do you think?
Page, 39, is thin and athletic. She speaks in an exceedingly confident, clear, and lawyerly way. But having been through the MAGA meat grinder has clearly worn her down, not unlike the other women I’ve met who’ve been subjected to the president’s abuse. She is just slightly crumbly around the edges the way the president’s other victims are. Â
“It’s almost impossible to describe†what it’s like, she told me. “It’s like being punched in the gut. My heart drops to my stomach when I realize he has tweeted about me again. The president of the United States is calling me names to the entire world. He’s demeaning me and my career. It’s sickening.â€Â
“But it’s also very intimidating because he’s still the president of the United States. And when the president accuses you of treason by name, despite the fact that I know there’s no fathomable way that I have committed any crime at all, let alone treason, he’s still somebody in a position to actually do something about that. To try to further destroy my life. It never goes away or stops, even when he’s not publicly attacking me.â€
Does it affect you in your normal day-to-day life?
“I wish it didn’t,†she said. “I’m someone who’s always in my head anyway—so now otherwise normal interactions take on a different meaning. Like, when somebody makes eye contact with me on the Metro, I kind of wince, wondering if it’s because they recognize me, or are they just scanning the train like people do? It’s immediately a question of friend or foe? Or if I’m walking down the street or shopping and there’s somebody wearing Trump gear or a MAGA hat, I’ll walk the other way or try to put some distance between us because I’m not looking for conflict. Really, what I wanted most in this world is my life back.â€
And let’s be clear: If anyone has been victimized here, it’s President Trump. The man is one of them most persecuted presidents in the history of our republic, and The Daily Beast is positioning Page as a victim?
— No crimes, Lisa? How about those reporters you improperly leaked information to, according to Rep. Mark Meadows?
— April 10, 2017: (former FBI Special Agent) Peter Strzok contacts (former FBI Attorney) Lisa Page to discuss a “media leak strategy.†Specifically, the text says: “I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go.â€
— April 12, 2017: Peter Strzok congratulates Lisa Page on a job well done while referring to two derogatory articles about Carter Page. In the text, Strzok warns Page two articles are coming out, one which is “worse†than the other about Lisa’s “namesakeâ€.†Strzok added: “Well done, Page.â€
— No crimes? How about scrubbing 19,000 text messages between yourself and your lover, Peter Strzok?
Last week the Justice Department’s Inspector General released a comprehensive report noting, in part, that all of the data from fired FBI agent Peter Strzok’s iPhone had been scrubbed by special counsel Robert Mueller’s office after he was dismissed from the “Russian collusion†probe.
In addition, the IG report noted, his paramour Lisa Page’s iPhone had also been scrubbed but by a different department, the DOJ’s Justice Management Division.
The loss of data left a huge time gap that was considered suspicious by congressional investigators looking into the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation as well as the bureau’s involvement in attempts to undermine the incoming Trump administration.
— No treason or sedition? Really? How about that time Page and Strzok texted that “POTUS wants to know everything” they are doing, re: Spygate?
In a Sept. 2, 2016, text to Strzok about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, Page said it was important to do so because “potus wants to know everything we’re doing.â€
— Page is a ‘victim’ of Trump abuse? But what about all of the times she and her lover disparaged the president in text messages?
Oh, and that “insurance policy” they discussed to prevent Trump from taking office — how is that not seditious?

After Fox News on Wednesday published some of more than 10,000 text messages sent between FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer and mistress Lisa Page, in which the two disparaged President Donald J. Trump, a new report on Thursday appears to ensnare FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe in more controversy.
Among the messages is an exchange revealing Strzok and Page discussed an ‘insurance policy,’ against a Trump presidency, and that conversation may well have taken place in front of McCabe or with the deputy director’s involvement, The Daily Caller noted.
On Wednesday morning, Fox News reporter Bret Baier tweeted the following: “Text-from Peter Strzok to Lisa Page (Andy is Andrew McCabe): “I want to believe the path u threw out 4 consideration in Andy’s office-that there’s no way he gets elected-but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in unlikely event u die be4 you’re 40.â€

— ‘No way’ she broke any laws? Really? How about when she and Strzok plotted to stonewall Congress (lie to) regarding the FBI’s phony baloney ‘investigation’ into Hillary Clinton’s criminal abuse of classified emails?
Presidential attorney Jay Sekulow on Friday discussed newly-released texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page, saying the two knew they were stonewalling lawmakers regarding the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Discussing the tests on his radio program, “Jay Live,†Sekulow also said the texts revealed that the two understood the hidden FBI reports would eventually be revealed in Freedom of Information Act requests and “absolutely inflame Congress.â€
The two anti-Trump officials admitted to hiding “302 reports†— which are summaries of interviews conducted with witnesses and/or suspects — from lawmakers regarding Clinton’s criminal mishandling of classified emails.
Also, both then complained that FOIA requests from interested parties would eventually cause the hidden reports to be released, thus created widespread angst and condemnation in Congress.
“Peter Strzok on September 10th, 2016–this is during the heart of the election last year,†Sekulow began.
Quoting Strzok, Sekulow said, “‘Thing is, there are very inflammatory things in the 302’s’ [that’s the agents’ reports] that we didn’t turn over to Congress because they weren’t relevant to understanding the focus of the investigation.’â€
“This was the investigation of Hillary Clinton-the ongoing email investigation,†Sekulow said, putting the conversation in context.
We have no confidence that Michael Horowitz will make any substantive prosecutorial referrals when he releases his report December 9. We’ll see what AG Barr comes up with.
But honestly, if our governing institutions weren’t so rife with contemptible, corrupt deep state operatives who believe they are unaccountable to the American people, Lisa Page (among others) would already be wearing an orange jumpsuit and serving many years for her role in what may be the only time in our history when government figures plotted to overthrow a sitting president.
