(NationalSentinel) Conservative talker, author, and constitutional expert Mark Levin took Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) to task in a pair of tweets after the 2020 Democratic presidential contender insulted President Donald Trump over his declared defense of Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday, the president tweeted that the Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure — the country’s economic lifeblood — was attacked on Saturday by Iranian drones launched form Yemen, intimating that the U.S. was ready for an armed response if need be.
“Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!” he wrote.
According to CBS News, 17 structures were hit with 19 points of impact. Saudi Arabian officials said cruise missiles were used.
As The Wall Street Journal noted Monday, American intelligence officials have indicated that the attack, which wiped out a some 5 percent of the world’s oil production capacity, was launched from Iranian soil.
The paper added, "The U.S. has already dismissed a claim by Houthi militants in Yemen that they sent 10 drones to attack the Saudi oil sites, which crippled the kingdom’s petroleum industry and sent energy markets into a tailspin."
But it was the president's tweet that set off Gabbard, who has been an apologist for the Syrian regime.
That tweet garnered a blazing response from Levin.
"Tulsi Gabbard, another clown. This isn’t about Saudi Arabia, moron. Iran is threatening world’s oil supply, navigable waters, killed hundreds of American soldiers, building ICBM’s for nuclear warheads, threatens to destroy the U.S., etc. you’re unfit to lead our country. You’re a dangerous fool."
This is not the first time Gabbard has said Trump was being "Saudi Arabia’s b****."
In November 2018, Trump stated, "If we abandon Saudi Arabia, it would be a terrible mistake. We may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder of Mr. Jamal Khashoggi. In any case, our relationship is with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They have been a great ally in our very important fight against Iran."
Gabbard responded via tweet, "Hey @realdonaldtrump: being Saudi Arabia’s bitch is not 'America First.'"
