(NationalSentinel) Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired by President Trump’s first attorney general, Jeff Sessions, for lying to investigators, will be headlining a Democrat Party fundraiser in the swing state of Pennsylvania later this month.
According to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s website, McCabe will be featured as the keynote speaker at a fundraising banquet for the Lancaster County Democratic Committee.
Tickets for the event, which can be purchased through liberal fundraising organization ActBlue, range from $80 to $160. The more expensive “Speaker’s Circle” tickets will come with access to a private reception that McCabe will host as well as a photograph with him.
The venue says McCabe is scheduled to speak for about 45 minutes, then take questions from the audience for an additional 15 minutes.
Guests will also be given the option to purchase signed copies of McCabe’s book at the event for $32.50, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
According to event organizers, McCabe said he’ll talk about his “one-on-one interactions with Donald Trump” and will also cover the “fallout and aftermath” of former FBI director James Comey’s firing, “Russian meddling in the 2016 election,” and special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
McCabe’s political leanings were called into question during the 2016 presidential election cycle due to contributions made by allies of nominee Hillary Clinton to his wife, Jill McCabe, who ran for office the previous year as a Democrat.
Sessions fired McCabe in May 2018 just a few days before he was eligible for retirement. Inspector General Michael Horowitz recommended that McCabe be fired for lying to investigators reviewing the probe into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified emails.
McCabe was accused of lying about his contacts with the media regarding the Clinton probe.
“Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately,†Sessions said in a statement, as reported by Fox News.
Sessions went on to note that after reviewing the evidence and Horowitz’s recommendation, he determined “McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor − including under oath − on multiple occasions.â€
“The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, ‘all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand,’†Sessions said.
President Donald J. Trump tweeted out his approval of Sessions’ decision.
“Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI – A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!†he wrote.

Earlier this month, McCabe filed suit against the Trump administration over his firing, claiming it was politically motivated.
“It was Trump’s unconstitutional plan and scheme to discredit and remove DOJ and FBI employees who were deemed to be his partisan opponents because they were not politically loyal to him,â€Â says the suit.
