(NationalSentinel) About 1,000 women attended the official 2020 launch of “Women for Trump” at a rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, as attendees gathered in MAGA hats and other patriotic gear to cheer President Donald Trump on to reelection.
Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law and campaign adviser, asked women at the event, “I’m a little confused. I didn’t think women like Donald Trump,” as the crowd broke into laughter and chants of “USA! USA!” the Washington Free Beacon reported.
Several women traveled to the event from adjoining states including Delaware and New Jersey.
“The left claims that women aren’t for Trump,” Nancy Clayton of Hamilton, N.J., told the Washington Free Beacon. “If you look around the room here, I would say the majority are college-educated and above.”
She cited the rising stock market, the strong economy, support for the Second Amendment, and quest for better border security and immigration enforcement as just a few of the reasons why she supports the president.
And like several others interviewed by the news site, Clayton said she thinks the ‘mainstream media’ has treated the president “unfairly.”
“I’m here because it’s a Woman for Trump event, it’s the first time I’m at one of his rallies … and I’m a woman,” said Joy DeLucia, of Highlands, N.J. She indicated she supports Trump because his policies are aligned with “everything I believe in. He follows the Constitution, my Second Amendment rights are very important, and he’s a true American who supports the military.”
DeLucia, who said her daughter is a U.S. Marine, loves POTUS because he puts America first.
“I wanted to be here on the kickoff to support women and Donald Trump,” added Diane Batcha of Harrisburg, Pa. “There’s power when women come together.”
“He is trying to deliver on everything he has promised from day one,” Alex Anastasio, a committee member of the Republican Party in Harrisburg, told the Beacon.
She noted further that people who want to come to the United States should be made to do so using the legal processes. “He is tying to keep our country safe and deliver on promises he made.”
“I supported Trump back in 2016 and I believe the security of our nation is of utmost importance,” said Jane Peronteau, a yoga instructor in Chester County, Pa. “The economy, job numbers are all on the rise, and he has strong women in his administration that I admire.”
In addition to Lara Trump, others at the event included former Fox News contributor Kimberly Guilfoyle, Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, campaign press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, White House advisers Mercedes Schlapp and Katrina Pierson, and campaign manager Brad Parscale.
The Philadelphia Inquirer added that ‘Women for Trump’ is a “new army” supporting the president at a deeply divided time in America:
They said they were there for Trump. But the Republican women who came to King of Prussia for the Trump campaign’s first women’s coalition rally were also there to block the Democratic women who have fueled a surge in voter turnout in local, state, and congressional races in Southeastern Pennsylvania since Trump’s election in 2016. If Republicans are to hold the state for Trump, their women must multiply.
Well, the GOP got their soldiers, all right.
While gamblers upstairs smoked and shot craps, the women downstairs were supercharged. No longer would they remain in the shadows, quietly loyal to a president whose polarizing rhetoric and policies pit neighbors against neighbors.
Speaking of mainstream media bias, it’s hard to reconcile this statement — “…quietly loyal to a president whose polarizing rhetoric and policies pit neighbors against neighbors…” — with a president who so obviously loves his country and is attempting to unify all Americans under a single banner.
But then that’s what we’ve come to expect from the American establishment press: Gross mischaracterizations of what the president says and does while blaming him — not Left-wing Democrat hate and violence — for our divisions.
Obviously, as this event proves, Americans are rebelling against that media narrative.
