(NationalSentinel) During a Friday interview on CNN, former Vice President Joe Biden, trying to cling to a lead in the 2020 Democratic presidential sweepstakes, came clean on allegations that Russia attempted to “meddle” in the 2016 elections as a way of helping POTUS Donald Trump.
“While Putin is trying to undo our elections, he is undoing elections in Europe,†Biden said. “Look what’s happened in Hungary. Look what’s happened in Poland. Look what’s happened in Moldova.â€
“You think that would happen on my watch or Barack’s watch? You can’t answer that, but I promise you it wouldn’t have, and it didn’t,” he said.
In short, Biden just blew the entire ‘Russian collusion’ narrative completely out of the water, just like former special counsel Robert Mueller did earlier this year when he issued his 18-month, $40 million report saying the same thing.
Democrats in Congress, however, beg to differ and have continued to push the narrative as a means of keeping their voters ‘engaged’ politically heading into elections next year.
Then again, Biden isn’t the first ranking Obama administration official to make this statement.
Obama himself did so in the fall of 2016, just weeks before the election when he and everyone else in D.C. and the establishment media thought Hillary Clinton was going to cruise to victory.
“There is no serious person out there who would suggest that you could even rig America’s elections, in part because they are so decentralized. There is no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances that that could happen this time,” Obama said in October 2016.
“Democracy survives because we recognize that there is something more important than any individual campaign, and that is making sure the integrity and trust in our institutions sustains itself. Because Democracy works by consent, not by force,” Obama said.
“I have never seen in my lifetime or in modern political history, any presidential candidate trying to discredit the elections and the election process before votes have even taken place. It is unprecedented. It happens to be based on no fact. Every expert regardless of political party… who has ever examined these issues in a serious way will tell you that instances of significant voter fraud are not to be found. Keep in mind elections are run by state and local officials,” he continued.
“That is both irresponsible and, by the way, doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness you’d want from a president,” he also said. “You start whining before the game is even over? If whenever things are going badly for you and you lose, you start blaming somebody else. Then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job.”
Right. Biden agrees, too…now.
No wonder the Democratic Party machine doesn’t want Biden to win the nomination. He’s just too gaffe-prone.
That said, it would have been wonderful if Biden (and Obama) would have done the right thing and stepped forward years ago to dispell the allegations of Russian collusion.
But then again, the Obama regime is responsible for creating them.
