New Mexico citizens, you’ve got a problem in your governor’s residence, and it’s one that is putting all of you in danger. Literally.

Irrational hatred of POTUS Donald Trump has led Gov. Michelle Grisham to make policy decisions that are not based on the best interests of her state and its residents, such as pulling 118 New Mexico National Guard troops off border security duty earlier this year.

The decision, which she said was in response to the president’s alleged “charade of border fear-mongering,” has led to a massive spike in cartel drug smuggling into and through the state.

For instance, a local sheriff (Otero County) said Monday that saw some $60,000 in deadly drug shipments in April, up from $3,500 in January.

The huge spike came after federal border officials were forced to close a pair of checkpoints in the area because they lacked support from Grisham.

Overall, the border is far less secure than it was two years ago when the president first took office, and at least part of that comes from the fact that blue states led by extremist Democrats refuse to allow their Guard troops to be deployed in a border security capacity.

In fact, there is something of a rebellion brewing among blue state elected officials and National Guard leaders to this president over a growing number of his policies, including one forbidding transgenders from joining the military.

It’s a lawful order and one given by a president who was legally, lawfully elected (despite Democrats’ claims that he’s not legitimate).
