As Democrats are in full panic/meltdown mode following Attorney General William Barr’s very pointed claim on Capitol Hill Wednesday that he believes the 2016 Trump campaign was spied on by the Obama regime’s FBI and Intelligence Community (of course it was), POTUS Donald Trump himself is keeping the pressure on the Donkey Party over its refusal to help him deal with the burgeoning migrant crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border.
In a tweet Wednesday as he headed to San Antonio, Texas, for a campaign rally, the president actually labeled Democratic intransigence over border security “treasonous” as he lamented their “open border mindset.”
I think what the Democrats are doing with the Border is TREASONOUS. Their Open Border mindset is putting our Country at risk. Will not let this happen!

“I think what the Democrats are doing with the Border is TREASONOUS. Their Open Border mindset is putting our Country at risk. Will not let this happen!” the president vowed.
The tweet — and the president’s frustration — comes amid a shakeup of leadership at the Department of Homeland Security as hundreds of thousands of migrants, mostly from Central America, have mysteriously begun trekking to the United States. We covered this Wednesday — or rather, Rush Limbaugh’s theory about it — here.
As we have reported, the migrant crush along our southwestern border is real, despite Democrat denials:
But rather than help the president address the growing crisis, Democrats and some RINOs in Congress have since pivoted to other issues that are far less important or pressing — like gun control, the president’s taxes, and seeing the complete report on the Russian collusion hoax filed recently by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Meanwhile, the border crisis has only gotten worse — so much so, in fact, that seasoned Border Patrol agents and others living along the southwestern boundary are now witnessing a crush of illegal immigrants in numbers they’ve never seen before.
And our country’s ability to handle all of them has been overwhelmed.
Speaking of treasonous behavior, we noted in February that Left-wing Democratic governors pulling their National Guard troops off the border — or refusing to send them in the first place — could be seen by some as treasonous:
“New Mexico will not take part in the president’s charade of border fear-mongering by misusing our diligent National Guard troops,â€Â Grisham announced just hours before the president gave his State of the Union Address (which was needlessly delayed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi).
Adding that she will allow some troops to remain to provide “humanitarian assistance,†she added, “I recognize and appreciate the legitimate concerns of residents and officials in southwestern New Mexico, particularly Hidalgo County, who have asked for our assistance, as migrants and asylum-seekers continue to appear at their doorstep.â€
Because Democrats only practice groupthink, Newsom said nearly the same thing in ordering his Guard troops to withdraw.
“The border ’emergency’ is a manufactured crisis,â€Â Newsom said a week after Grisham pulled New Mexico forces. “And California will not be part of this political theater.†…
The president may ultimately have no other choice but to declare a national emergency and in doing so, federalize Guard forces in all states along the border. If he does and Newsom and Grisham try to intervene, they should be arrested for treason.
Many of the president’s supporters are growing frustrated that he isn’t ‘doing more’ to enforce immigration law and shore up border security, but there is only so much he can do within the scope of his constitutional authority as head of the Executive Branch.
The only other alternative is for him to do the unthinkable — declare martial law, which, to the Left, would be tantamount to a declaration of war.
But clearly, the president isn’t giving up and that’s an important thing to remember; a lesser Republican president would have by now or would have never actually tried to keep campaign promises to build border walls and enforce immigration laws in the first place.
There is also this: Trump uses the kind of strong, frank language a president hasn’t used to characterize and describe his political enemies since the 19th century. The honesty is refreshing and daily reminder of why we elected him in the first place.
Democrats aren’t used to being talked about or talked to like this so they’re going to freak out — again — and traipse to their favorite cable news networks to complain about POTUS’ demeanor and his “divisive rhetoric.”
But what they still don’t understand is that this president is actually trying to improve a bad situation and secure our country, and he’s bewildered by the fact that there are American politicians, most concentrated in one party, who are actually opposed to it.
On Wednesday, the president also talked about the dangers Americans who live in border regions face daily — but which Democrats and their sycophantic media allies never discuss. These are criminal acts being perpetrated against American citizens — every day — none of which elected Democrats have to face or deal with.
