Once upon a time, the Democratic Left used to premise nearly all of their pet issues – gun control, smoking, speed limits, environmental regulations, climate change, wind power – on “the children.â€
‘We have to do this for the children,’ they would say. ‘Because even the life of one child is too many to lose.’
Meanwhile, they have pushed for abortion on demand and these days, even, infanticide. So, with that being said, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to find that they really don’t care about anyone’s kids except their own and even then, they’re willing to put them in danger in order to pursue their open borders/sanctuary cities/no immigration enforcement agenda.
As reported by Fox News, authorities in Louisiana have arrested an “undocumented immigrant†who has been accused of committing more than 100 child sex crimes:
KLFY reported that Miguel Martinez, 44, was arrested on 100 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, one count of production under 13, and one count of sexual battery of a juvenile under 13.
Martinez, deported once before, in 2005, is a registered sex offender in California.
“Illegal immigration has real-life consequences – countless numbers of needless crime victims, including too many Louisiana families and children. It’s time to join @POTUS in demanding action on our Southern Border. #BuildTheWall†tweeted state Attorney General Jeff Landry.

Granted, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but with 100-plus counts of crimes involving children and sex, we like the AG’s odds that Martinez is going to get convicted on a good number of those counts.
But Martinez’s alleged crimes are just the latest criminal outrages involving persons who have no legal right to be in our country.
In recent months, illegal aliens – many of them deported multiple times (because we have no real control over our borders, thanks to Democrats and too many RINOs) – have committed acts of violence against American citizens, killed police officers, and been involved in innumerable property crimes, each of which are 100 percent preventable.
“It should come as no surprise that criminals don’t care about borders. We’ve seen them use the security crisis to boost their profits, their violence, their exploitation of vulnerable populations. Business is booming for the bad guys, and I again call on Congress to change the laws that are now outdated and do not address today’s crisis,†Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said last month during a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.
“This is truly an emergency and our system is at the breaking point. I want to again thank our partner Sheriffs for their service and the hard work they do every day.â€
DHS said in a press release:
Recently, in Galveston County, Texas, DHS 287(g) partners encountered an alien convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child, who is a two time reentry non-registered sex offender who served 10 years of deferred probation in 2004, and who had been freely walking around Texas communities. Additionally, in Smith County, Texas in January 2019, 287(g) partners encountered an alien convicted of felony burglary, drug possession, identify fraud, and felony theft.
In February, ICE’s Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) Violent Criminal Alien Section (VCAS) in Houston arrested an illegal alien from Honduras who was convicted in 2007 of multiple child sex offenses after he was caught having reentered the U.S. illegally, according to an ICE press release.
Marvin Yovani Mejia-Ramos – aka Martin Jose Romos-Ramirez, aka Ricardo Rodriguez-Morales – 50, was convicted in California “of continuous sexual abuse and lewd acts upon a child,†the press release noted. He was sentenced to six years in prison and remanded to Honduras after his sentence was up in 2013.
If our border was as secure as Democrats claim it is, then these repeat illegal alien child sex offenders would not be so easily sneaking back into our country time and time again.
The fact is, these are someone else’s children – not the children of Democratic lawmakers. So their level of concern, shall we say, is far less than it otherwise would be.
