Report: Hacker group set to release ‘9/11 papers’ that will ‘burn down’ the Deep State

A hacker collective known as “Dark Overlord” has released decryption keys for 650 documents that it says are tied to the 9/11 attacks and, unless it is paid a ransom, the group has threatened to release more it says are highly consequential for the “Deep State.”

As reported by Russia Today, the document dump is just a small percentage of some 18,000 documents the group says are related to the 2001 terrorist attacks that destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon.

The documents are believed to have been hacked from government agencies, law firms, and insurance companies, RT noted.

The site reported further:

The Dark Overlord initially threatened to release the 10GB of data unless the hacked firms paid an unspecified bitcoin ransom. However, on Wednesday, the group announced a “tiered compensation plan” in which the public could make bitcoin payments to unlock the troves of documents.

A day later, the Dark Overlord said that it had received more than $12,000 in bitcoin – enough to unlock “layer 1” and several “checkpoints,” comprised of 650 documents in total.

There are four more layers that remain encrypted and, according to the group, “each layer contains more secrets, more damaging materials… and generally just more truth.”

The hackers are asking for $2 million in bitcoin for the public release of its “megaleak,” which it has dubbed “the 9/11 Papers.”

The collective has offered to sell the document trove to foreign governments, terrorist groups, and media outlets. RT America correspondent Michelle Greenstein told her network, “They were willing to sell those documents to me. So it’s all about money for them.”

The Layer 1 documents don’t divulge any explosive information if they are indeed real, but that was by design. They reveal insurance payouts, testimony from airport personnel about security, and other non-bombshells.

It’s not clear why the hacker collective is choosing to release the documents now, though it’s possible — again, if they are authentic — that the documents may have only been recently obtained.

As of this writing, the documents were available for download at Steemit after being scrubbed from Reddit and other file-sharing sites, RT noted.

Shortly after releasing the decryption keys, the group posted an ultimatum addressed to “the nation-state of the United States of America and the greater deep-state.”

“To all the other parties involved (airlines, litigation firms, investigation firms, FBI, TSA, FAA, banks, security companies and more), we’re going to burn you down unless you begin to ‘play ball,'” it said.

Dark Overlord claims to have hacked documents from top insurers like Lloyds of London and Silverstein Properties, which owned the World Trade Center complex, as well as government agencies.

The group is known for hacking and releasing an entire season of Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” after its ransom was not paid.

Maybe an actual hacking group with some serious plans, Anonymous was a let down, perhaps these guys will side with the III%!

No one is going to pay as no one knows exactly what they have and there’s no guarantee they won’t release it after being paid anyway. But the group is being hunted, you can bet on that.

You would think that such a sophisticated hacking group would by now understand what is really going on in our world, and what the ‘few’ have planned for the majority. And knowing this, even someone with lower than average scruples would release this kind of info in an effort to help humanity and even just to screw with those in power who consequently have plans that will do away with these hackers. So all this leads me to believe this is either a hoax, or these so called hackers are the elites looking to release this info for their own… Read more »
