(National Sentinel)Â Righteous: Fired FBI Director James Comey has spent the bulk of his free time as a civilian attempting to memory-hole his actions as head of the nation’s most powerful law enforcement agency as well as rewrite his own history.
He made another attempt on Monday after providing more worthless ‘testimony’ to the House in which he failed — again — to provide any useful answers to legitimate questions about his actions as director, especially as they pertained to letting Hillary Clinton skate for blatant violations of laws governing the handling of classified information — all because he didn’t want Donald Trump to be president.
After his appearance — his second in as many weeks — St. Comey declared, “I find it frustrating to be here, answering questions about things that are far less important than the values that this country is built upon.”
CNS News noted:
In some of his harshest criticism yet, the man at the center of alleged FBI malpractice took aim at Republicans, President Trump and even Fox News. He said the damage to the FBI’s reputation “has nothing to do with me.”
“So another day of Hillary Clinton’s e-mails and the Steele dossier,” Comey said when he emerged from Monday’s hearing.
“This, while the president of the United States is lying about the FBI, attacking the FBI, and attacking the rule of law in this country. How does that make any sense at all?” Comey said.
“Republicans used to understand that the actions of a president matter, the words of a president matter, the rule of law matters, and the truth matters. Where are those Republicans today?” he continued.
“At some point, someone has to stand up and in the face of fear of Fox News, fear of their base, fear of mean tweets, stand up for the values of this country, and not slink away into retirement, but stand up and speak the truth,” he whined.
Oh, brother. If only Comey was as pure as he claims to be.
That said, he did get some major pushback from the White House, and as is always the case, the best came from spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who torched the former FBI chief in a tweet.
“Republicans should stand up to Comey and his tremendous corruption – from the fake Hillary Clinton investigation, to lying and leaking, to FISA abuse, and a list too long to name. The President did the country a service by firing him and exposing him for the shameless fraud he is,” she wrote.

Comey will very likely get away with what he’s done as will those he protected, namely his new hero, Hillary Clinton. But there are tens of millions of Americans who know just what he is and understand perfectly that what he did as FBI director he did not do for God and country but rather for selfish personal and political reasons. — J.
