(National Sentinel) Like-Minded: A commission investigating the school shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., in February came up with a remarkable recommendation in order to prevent future shootings: Arm teachers.

The Associated Press reported that the commission recommended allowing “teachers who volunteer and undergo extensive background checks and training…to carry concealed guns on campus to stop future shootings.”

The commission’s 13-1 vote comes after Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, lead investigator on the commission, announced that he wanted to see teachers armed in Florida.

That’s amazing, considering that’s exactly with the National Rifle Association has been advocating for years, and did so again after the Parkland shootings.

But of course, this idea was branded as awful — terrible! — by all the Left-wing establishment media outlets and Democrats. And of course, they singled out the NRA for most of their scorn, even going so far as to blame school shootings on the gun rights organization.

Turns out, however, when those who have experienced such a horrific event, the choice is much more clear: Don’t be sitting ducks next time. The NRA agrees.

And let’s not forget that the Broward County Sheriff’s deputy who was on the scene during the active shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas was completely useless, refusing to enter the school and do his job to protect students.

Boy, is this going to set off David Hogg, the Parkland student-turned-anti-NRA and anti-gun activist. – J.D. Heyes
