(National Sentinel) Tone Deaf: Incoming multi-millionaire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to demonstrate just how out of touch she and fellow Democrats are when it comes to the economic well-being of America and Americans.

Shortly after the Republican Congress passed, and POTUS Donald Trump signed, tax reform legislation a year ago, giving Americans and U.S. companies back more of their earnings, she called $1,000- and $1,500 bonuses “crumbs” that were essentially meaningless to average Americans (though of course, they weren’t).

She and fellow Democrats, aided by their pals in the establishment media, talked down the benefits of those tax cuts so much that for a time, a majority of Americans actually believed they weren’t going to see any of the benefits.

Pelosi continued to lie about the economy created by POTUS Trump and Republicans, which, according to a Labor Department report on Friday, has set numerous records over the past several months as unemployment has fallen to near-historical levels.

She  responded to the November employment report that came out yesterday showing that a record 156,795,000 were employed in the U.S. by saying that the report only revealed “a callous GOP special interest agenda” that has hurt the “economic security of hard-working families.”

Or something.

“November’s jobs report shows an economy straining beneath the weight of a callous GOP special interest agenda that has ransacked the economic security of hard-working families to enrich the already-wealthy,” Pelosi said in a statement.

“In the election, voters delivered a resounding verdict against the Republican Congress’ brutal health care sabotage campaign, massive unpaid-for tax breaks for big banks, Big Pharma and big corporations shipping jobs overseas, and relentless attacks on Medicare and Medicaid. The American people will soon have a House Majority that will serve the public interest, not the special interests,” she continued.

“Our Democratic Majority is ready to restore openness, bipartisanship and unity to the Congress as we deliver For The People: lower health costs, raise wages by rebuilding America and clean up corruption to make Washington work for everyone.”

Let’s dissect this.

First of all, “corporate” manufacturing jobs in the U.S. have been rising, not “going overseas,” as Pelosi said. In fact, MarketWatch notes manufacturing jobs are growing at the fast rate in 23 years. The Trump economy is creating manufacturing jobs at 10 times the amount that Obama’s economy created them. The number created has defied analysts’ expectations.

And wages are already rising, thanks to the president’s economic policies, as the Las Vegas Review-Journal notes:

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that the nation’s 3.7 percent unemployment rate is “creating worker shortages and wage gains, not just for high-skilled workers who tend to command the best pay but also for low-skilled and blue-collar workers whose wages lag behind.” A study by the Conference Board found wages in construction, retail and maintenance have grown faster than salaries in white-collar management jobs.

That conclusion meshes with Labor Department statistics showing the “lowest-paid Americans saw weekly earnings grow more than 5 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier,” the Journal noted, “more than the national median gain of 1.7 percent for all workers.”

You know, Nancy, ‘working -class’ Americans.

Remember when Pelosi’s hero, Obama, said Trump couldn’t get manufacturing jobs to come back? We do:

In terms of recovery, Obama’s was the slowest — that is, the worst — in U.S. history, and Pelosi’s Democrats were a big reason why after passing Obamacare.

Speaking of healthcare, thanks to Pelosi and Obama premiums in the U.S. have skyrocketed because of their “reform” bill, along with deductibles, and now she claims Democrats are going to “lower health costs?”

Her “bipartisanship” and “openness” claims are a joke.

Democrats don’t know how to create jobs and opportunities, only regulations, more government, and less growth, as the Review-Journal points out:

Recall that congressional Democrats spent most of early 2018 hammering Mr. Trump and the GOP for providing tax relief to the vast majority of Americans. The reform was a “cynical one-two gut punch to the middle class — raise their taxes to pay for corporate tax cuts and then decimate their earned benefits as a kicker.” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi labeled the bill “Armageddon” and “the end of the world.”

Eventually, Democrats honed in on the argument that greedy capitalists were chortling as they spent their newfound loot on yachts and caviar when they should have been applying the tax savings to worker salaries. In February, The Washington Post published a smug op-ed arguing the Democratic attacks were clearly vindicated because the benefits of corporate tax reform weren’t flowing to U.S. workers.

So much for that narrative.
