(National Sentinel)Â In Your Face: Though the politically bruising battle over Justice Brett Kavanaugh is over, his confirmation process is not going to be the last time the insane Left and the Democratic Party try to burn down another of our institutions in their naked pursuit of power.
More federal judgeships need to be filled, and POTUS Donald Trump will most likely have another SCOTUS pick in the future, either during his current term or his next one (which we believe he’ll win handily). After all, Ruth “Buzzy” Ginsburg is 85, after all.
With that in mind and fresh off Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., whose impassioned defense of the justice during his second round of testimony earlier this month went viral, challenged Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., to pick a judge from POTUS Trump’s list he and fellow Democrats would back.
During an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday, Graham — holding up the president’s list of possible Supreme Court picks, said, “Name five, name three, name one that would be okay with you.â€
This is a paragraph of content.
“Brett Kavanaugh was a mainstream judge,â€Â Graham said. “I would’ve chosen him if I had been president, Bush supported him, everybody running for president on our side believe that Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch were outstanding conservative jurists.â€
He did not stop there, however. He noted further that Democrats opposed to Kavanaugh and Gorsuch were merely trying to re-litigate the results of the 2016 election…again.
“The other side wants to cancel the election,â€Â he explained. “So, Chuck, if you want someone new? Look at this list and see anybody you agree to, but what you want to do, Senator Schumer, is to overturn the election,” Graham said.
“We are not going to let you pick the judges. If you want to pick judges, then you need to win the White House. When Obama won, I voted for two judges that he picked. So Chuck Schumer, name one person on this list you think is acceptable.â€
And to rub it in further, Graham said after the interview he would be celebrating Kavanaugh’s confirmation with a round of golf with the president.
