(National Sentinel)Â New Details: On Tuesday, some Americans remembered a lesser-known ‘9/11’ anniversary — the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which left four Americans dead including our ambassador, Christopher Stevens.
Tuesday night, former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, went on Sean Hannity’s program to provide new details about the night after the attack, which came in two waves and lasted some 13 hours.
Chaffetz was the first U.S. lawmaker to arrive on the ground in Benghazi after the attack. What he told Hannity about the way President Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton treated the U.S. security contractor heroes who tried to defend American soil that night should enrage everyone who hears the story.
According to Chaffetz, the Obama-Clinton machine fired those heroes when they arrived back in Germany, then stripped them of their security clearances so they could no longer make a living defending American interests abroad.
“You know what happened when they actually got home? Those people saved dozens of American lives. When they got home you know what the State Department, Hillary’s State Department did? They took away their security clearance so they couldn’t get a job. It’s unbelievable,” he told Hannity.
“That’s how they treated these guys. When they were there in Germany. When they were there in Germany. They didn’t send them home. They didn’t offer them plane tickets. They just told them they were released. They had to pay for their own plane tickets to get home.”
To say that is outrageous is an understatement.
