(National Sentinel) FEC violation: While Democrats and some RINOs continue to scream “Russian meddling!” ahead of the 2018 midterms, the real threat to our democratic processes and our republic is home-grown.

We already knew that the social media behemoths were censoring and “shadow-banning” conservative, pro-POTUS Trump news and information. We also knew that platforms like Twitter were shadow-banning existing Republican lawmakers.

Now we learn that Twitter is also shadow-banning Republican candidates running for office this year.

Per Reddit The Donald, Twitter has shadow-banned John James, a black Republican candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan — a “star” candidate, according to POTUS Trump, who has also endorsed him:

As per the Detroit Free Press:

The 37-year-old African-American business executive and Iraq War helicopter pilot is running against detergent manufacturer Sandy Pensler in the Aug. 7 contest. The winner will advance to face third-term Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow in November.

Trump, who narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton in Michigan in 2016, tweeted that James — a political newcomer — is “SPECTACULAR. Rarely have I seen a candidate with such great potential.” He added that James is “strong on crime and borders, loves our Military, our Vets and our Second Amendment. He will be a star.”

That’s not all.

Ron Bassilian is running for the U.S. House in California’s 37th District. His account is also being shadow-banned, according to The Gateway Pundit.

This comes after sitting Republicans including Reps. Matt Gaetz, Matt Gaetz, Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe discovered they, too, were being silenced by the same shadow-banning technique.

At least one of them, Gaetz of Florida, has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission.

“The evidence is piling up that I am being treated differently on Twitter than people on the political Left and I don’t like that because I enjoy the Twitter platform, I enjoy the engagement, I enjoy the candor,” Representative Gaetz told The Daily Caller prior to filing his complaint.

“I would think that having won my election with 69 percent of the vote to serve in the Congress that the marketplace of ideas could accommodate my views.”

“So I believe that Twitter may have illegally donated to the campaigns of my opponents by prejudicing against my content,” he added.

And yet, we’re all being told that it’s Russia we should be more worried about.
