(National Sentinel) Fireworks: FBI agent Peter Strzok is on Capitol Hill today testifying before the House Judiciary Committee, which is looking into his very obvious anti-Trump bias as well-documented through texts he exchanged with former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Well, he’s sort of testifying. Much of what he’s being asked his FBI counsel is instructing him not to answer.
Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., informed him that his continued refusal to answer basic questions about his investigations into the Hillary Clinton email scandal and the “Spygate” scandal, in which POTUS Trump’s 2016 campaign was kept under surveillance over bogus “Russian collusion” allegations, could land him with a contempt charge.
Nevertheless, Strzok did answer a few of Rep. Trey Gowdy’s questions as the South Carolina Republican became increasingly exasperated at the arrogance displayed by someone who ought to be concerned about his freedom.
At one point, Gowdy asked Strzok to tell him specifically why he was let go from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
How long did you talk to him when he let you go?â€Â Gowdy asked.
“My recollection it was a short meeting, somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes, probably around 15 minutes,â€Â Strzok said.
“And your testimony is: Bob Mueller did not kick you off because of the content of your texts; he kicked out you off because of some appearance he was worried about,†Gowdy said.
“My testimony — what you asked and what I responded to — is that he kicked me off because of my bias,â€Â Strzok responded. “I’m stating to you it is not my understanding that he kicked me off because of any bias — that it was done based on the appearance. If you want to represent what you said accurately I’m happy to answer that question, but I don’t appreciate what was originally said being changed.â€
“I don’t give a damn what you appreciate Agent Strzok,†Gowdy shot back.
“I don’t appreciate having an FBI agent with an unprecedented level of animus working on two major investigations during 2016.â€
