(National Sentinel) Divisive: Democratic lawmakers and their supporters love to claim that President Donald J. Trump and his supporters are ‘dividing the country,’ but any rational, thinking person knows the polar opposite is true.

It was supporters of Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders who purposefully misattributed Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan to be racist, bigoted ‘fascism,’ then used the misattribution to justify physical attacks on the president’s backers at his campaign rallies.

It was Democrats and their supporters who started the #Resist movement.

It is Democrats and their supporters who have refused to accept Trump as the duly-elected president of the United States.

It is Democrats and their supporters who, still today — sans any evidence — claim that Trump ‘stole the election’ with the help of Russia and, therefore, he should be removed from office.

The fact that Democrats, not Republicans, are responsible for all the division in our country — especially racial divisions — is best defined by the pathetic and outrageous behavior of the embarrassing Rep. Maxine Waters.

In a disgusting violation both of congressional decorum and House rules, she took to the floor of her chamber earlier this week to attack a Republican lawmaker for no reason other than they disagree on a political issue.

What triggered her latest tirade?

It was when Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., had the audacity to say, “We are trying to make sure we are making America great every day in every way and the best way to do that is to stop stalking about discrimination and start talking about the nation.” He added: “We’re coming together as a people, in spite of what you say.”

The rest is, well, disgraceful. There is no other way to say it.

If you’re sick and tired of black Americans screaming “racism” every time some issue doesn’t go their way, you’re not alone.

Kelly and other lawmakers — including some Democrats — aren’t trying to “undermine anti-discrimination policies,” they’re trying to make the system fair for everyone, including Americans who weren’t born with dark skin.

The hearing centered on Obama-era anti-discrimination regulations for auto lenders, which Republicans and some Democrats voted to reverse. The measure, which was previously approved by the Senate, is now awaiting Trump’s signature, The Hill reports.

In other worse, the regulations were inherently unfair — that is, of course, unless you’re a minority.

Politicians like Maxine Waters don’t want things to be “fair,” they want things to be skewed so that minorities are favored over whites because people like her believe they somehow “owe” white people for imagined injustices like slavery.

Well, that institution hasn’t been around for more than 150 years. What’s more, quite a few white people died to end it.

Not only that, a majority of white politicians in the subsequent years voted to approve laws and statutes that guaranteed Americans of any skin color and ethnicity can get a fair shot at whatever our country has to offer.

Democrats like Waters, for some reason, think some Americans — simply because of their skin color — deserve to be treated better, and are willing to shame others into silence in order to achieve the objective.

Kelly is right. Enough of this.

Trump, like Obama, is every American’s president. All Americans, regardless of ethnicity, should have an equal opportunity to succeed. There should be no special carve-outs for anyone.

But by insisting otherwise, Waters and her fellow Democrats prove daily that they are the ones dividing America.
