(National Sentinel)Â The Criminal Party:Â Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, and James Comey may no longer be in power, but they have left behind a legacy of corruption that will continue to infect every government institute for decades.
Unless, of course, President Donald J. Trump is successful in draining the D.C. swamp.
To anyone with a modicum of fairness, it should be obvious by now that the only thing Trump is guilty of is winning the 2016 election — something he wasn’t “supposed” to do and something almost nobody in the DC establishment wanted him to do.
Everything that’s happened before and after the election proves beyond any doubt that the Democratic Party and its allies in the media and the swamp are the most corrupt people our nation has ever produced.
And Obama’s administration set a record for corruption.
Benghazi. Fast and Furious. DACA. The VA scandal. IRS targeting of conservative groups. Obamacare. Justice Department targeting of AP and Fox News journalists. The Iran nuclear deal. EPA malfeasance over ‘clean air’ rules.
And now, of course, we’re learning more every day about how corrupt the Justice Department and the FBI were when it comes to illegal spying on Trump’s campaign after obtaining FISA warrants under false pretenses using a bogus “intelligence” document, the “Russia dossier.”
All of these are Democratic scandals, not Trump scandals. Not Republican scandals.
Granted, the Republican establishment is not made up of choir boys and girls, I get it. But I challenge anyone to produce legitimate evidence that the Trump administration and, specifically, the president himself, is as dirty.
Sure, he may have paid off a porn star — for something. I don’t know what that something was because I wasn’t there.
But IÂ do believe Rudy Giuliani when he says personal lawyers of rich, powerful clients like Trump take care of issues like that all the time, and generally without the client’s intimate knowledge of the details because they’re “busy people.”
What Trump is alleged to have done doesn’t come close to the level of malfeasance and outright corruption as, say, having one of the guns you ran into Mexico used to kill a federal Border Patrol agent.
Or unmask private American citizens just because they are part of a presidential administration you don’t like.
Or use the power of a tax agency to suppress opposing political speech.
Or cover up the death of an American diplomat because you refuse to take responsibility for bad foreign policy decisions.
These things are corrosive to a civil society. They are destroyers of democracy. They smack of third-world barbarian, authoritarian dictatorships.
And yet, who can reasonably argue that the modern Democratic Party hasn’t devolved into little more than a criminal enterprise, a cancer on society, a virus that has infected the body politic?
There is a difference between voicing political opposition and tearing down the country because you lost an election (or several elections).
Republicans go back to the drawing board to try and figure out how best to present their ideas to the public when they lose.
Democrats torch the system with scorched-earth tactics and outright criminality.
If the Democrats manage to fool enough Americans into backing their candidates in the coming election, the Trump experiment in making government (and America) great again will come to a screeching halt.
More good people will be persecuted. One of them may even be our president.
If that happens, you can kiss this republic goodbye.
