(National Sentinel) Crazy Talk:Â California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters said Monday that the country can ill-afford to wait until 2020 to depose President Donald J. Trump because it’s “too dangerous” to wait.
In her latest pitch in a never-ending campaign to “Impeach 45,” Waters made an appearance on MSNBC to discuss the Stormy Daniels revelations.
But it did not take long for host Joy Reid to goad Waters, 79, into discussing subject of impeachment as it pertains to special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation into baseless allegations of Team Trump collusion with Russia during the 2016 election.
Also, Reid complained repeatedly that House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., had not yet forcefully rebuked the president over his “low-IQ individual” remark about Waters as well as other issues.
She then asked Waters what Ryan’s reaction would be if Trump were to fire Mueller or his supervising DoJ official, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller.
Waters said she believed Ryan would do “nothing.â€
“Even if Trump finds a way to fire Rosenstein or Mueller, he’ll do nothing?†Reid questioned.
“He will do absolutely nothing. Nothing is going to happen, I think, until the people in this country stand up and say that they will not tolerate what is going on in the White House any longer,†Waters said. “The American people must stand up and I say they must call for his impeachment.
“Some people are saying well, we’ll vote in 2020,†she continued. “I cannot stay that. We cannot wait for that. It’s too dangerous.â€
“He doesn’t deserve to be President of the United States of America,†Waters added. “He has defined himself very thoroughly and I think his character is more than concerning.â€
As to the Russian collusion allegations, Trump ordered 60 Russian diplomats the administration accused of being spies out of the country, as well as the closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle, on Monday.
Also, earlier this month, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee announced the panel has found no evidence of collusion after more than a year’s worth of investigating.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has said that the only ‘collusion’ the panel has found with Russia involves the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
