(National Sentinel) Immigration Deformed: In response to a New York Times report regarding President Donald J. Trump’s pro-American immigration agenda, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., hit back at the notion pushed by the legacy media that and advocates for open borders that the DREAM Act, the most expansive amnesty legislation ever filed in Congress, is popular.
If that were really the case, Cotton said, Democrats would have demanded amnesty of illegal aliens as a lever to shut down the government this month when funding expired, which they didn’t do.
In addition, Cotton also praised Trump’s opposition to a process called “chain migration,” where newly naturalized immigrants are permitted to bring in an unlimited number of foreign-born relatives to live in the U.S. with them.
He also lauded Trump’s opposition to the Diversity Visa Lottery program as being “part of his victory” in the 2016 election.
10. And if mass amnesty without real reform, eg, the DREAM Act, were so popular, Dems would've shut down government over it. But it's not, they know it, & that's why they folded & passed a funding bill without amnesty. THE END.

On multiple occasions ahead of passing the year-end spending bill, several establishment Democrats and Republicans threatened a government shutdown if the president did not approve a provision legalizing resident Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
However, about two weeks before the spending bill was passed and subsequently signed by Trump, Democrats began backing off their demand.
As Breitbart News has reported, several polls related to immigration consistently show that most Americans favor Trump’s ‘America-first’ policies that call for admission of immigrants with skills, lowered immigration overall, and hiring of Americans before Visa-holding foreign workers.
“In the most recent polling on mandatory E-Verify, conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, Americans overwhelmingly support the immigration initiative with 68 percent of voters supporting the plan. E-Verify is the system that prevents businesses from hiring illegal aliens over Americans,” the news site reported.
“Another 71 percent of voters said businesses should be required to hire from pools of Americans with the highest unemployment rates before importing cheaper, foreign workers through various visa programs or hiring illegal aliens,” it added.
