(National Sentinel) Clinton Scandals: A Republican congressman said Friday that “we now have evidence” of FBI malfeasance in the investigation of then-Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton’s improper use of a private email server as secretary of state.

Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, who is also a member of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News that the bureau gave the 2016 investigation a “special status.”

He added that the process afforded Clinton by the FBI, then headed by James Comey, afforded Clinton a process that would not have been given to “any other American.”

“We now have evidence that the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton did not follow normal and standard procedures,” he said. “The current deputy director of the FBI Andrew McCabe sent emails just weeks before the presidential election saying that the Hillary Clinton investigation would be special — that it would be handled by a small team at headquarters, that it would be given special status.”

Continuing, Gaetz said, “Combine that with the fact that Attorney General Loretta Lynch told the James Comey to call this ‘a matter’ and not an investigation. That she met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac and that James Comey himself has admitted in testimony that he drafted the exoneration statement of Hillary Clinton before even interviewing her or other key witnesses.

“We seem to have a departure from the normal application of the law. And we will be calling for a full review by the Judiciary Committee of the processes and procedures that potentially gave Hillary Clinton a different process and a different standard of justice than would be applied to any other American,” he added.

In recent days, Attorney General Jeff Sessions hinted that he may appoint a second special counsel to investigate additional allegations against Clinton pertaining to the Uranium One deal and donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Previous reports noted that the FBI, then led by current special counsel Robert Mueller, had evidence of corruption involving the deal before it was made, but failed to act on it.

The bureau turned up evidence of collusion, racketeering, bribery and payoffs between Russian nuclear company interests tied to President Vladimir Putin and the Clinton Foundation way back in 2010, according to The Hill.
