(National Sentinel) Political Cowardice: It’s become quite clear that the owners of NFL teams are too PC: That is, too politically cowardly. That’s the only way to explain why they failed to address the one issue that can save their flagging league.
But the owners, during a meeting Tuesday in New York City, refused to take that step, choosing to listen to their players instead of the tens of millions of fans who are fed up with BS “protests” that insult the vast majority of them each and every week.
The New York Times noted:
The N.F.L. for now will continue to let players kneel or sit during the national anthem without a penalty, capitulating to demands by the athletes for free expression but potentially further alienating fans who object to the protests and feel they are disrespectful to the flag and the military.
But the PC owners did take some concrete measures — including pledging more support for players’ causes, which includes “reform of the justice system,” whatever the hell that means.
Needless to say, the decision was criticized by President Donald J. Trump who, in speaking for NFL fans, former and current, on Twitter, is the only sane voice in this equation: “The NFL has decided that it will not force players to stand for the playing of our National Anthem. Total disrespect for our great country!â€

Trump, a businessman in his former life, has repeatedly tried to give owners some business advice, which is, essentially, ‘Stop the protests or risk losing your league.’
Which means the hemorrhaging of fans and support for what used to be the most popular sport in America will continue.
Owners appear to be okay with that.
