(National Sentinel)Â Trump Hate:Â President Donald J. Trump has been widely praised by officials in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico for his administration’s prompt relief responses to a series of hurricanes.
But because its reporters and editors are hopelessly afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome, the Washington Post continues to ignore the good work the president has done, and has even gone so far as to praise other people for Trump’s responses.
Including Hillary Clinton.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
As noted by The Daily Caller:
The Trump administration is sending the hospital ship USNS Comfort to Puerto Rico to provide assistance in the wake of Hurricane Maria, but the president isn’t the one getting the credit.
The Washington Post is praising former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who tweeted about sending the hospital ship Sunday, for the federal government’s decision to provide additional relief.
President Trump, Sec. Mattis, and DOD should send the Navy, including the USNS Comfort, to Puerto Rico now. These are American citizens. https://t.co/J2FVg4II0n

Gee, why didn’t they think of that?
Oh wait. Turns out they did. And before Clinton mouthed off:
The Post article links Clinton’s tweet to a petition that was launched on change.org to send the Comfort to Puerto Rico, even though the petition appears to have been put in motion before her social media post. The petition gained more than 100,000 signatures, but there is no clear indication that Clinton’s actions triggered the deployment of the Comfort. The WaPo article may be a logical “post hoc ergo propter hoc†fallacy.
“I don’t know anything about that,†a Department of Defense official told The Daily Caller News Foundation when asked if the Pentagon took the former Democratic presidential nominee’s tweet or the petition into consideration when it decided to send the Comfort.
One thing that mitigated sea response: Puerto Rico’s ports were hammered by the Hurricane Maria as well, filling them with all sorts of debris. No ships could dock at any of them for days afterward, and that included cargo ships full of relief supplies. Some have been cleared by now, but the supplies are piling up on docks because the logistics infrastructure necessary to actually deliver it has been largely destroyed as well.
Note to the Washington Post: We know you like to think of Hillary as presidential, but she didn’t win. Trump did.
It’s time you recognized that.
