(National Sentinel) Executive Branch: No doubt the pitiful “mainstream” media will use this as yet another excuse to claim President Donald J. Trump is “anti-Muslim,” but here goes: His administration has halved the number of Muslim refugees admitted by the Obama regime.

And of those who are entering, there are more self-proclaimed Christians than Muslims.

As reported by the Washington Times:

President Trump, in just eight months in office, has succeeded in upending U.S. refugee policy, cutting by more than half the 110,000-refugee target that the Obama administration had bequeathed him and dramatically shifting the demographics of who is accepted.

Gone is President Obama’s overwhelming focus on Muslims, and particularly on Syrians fleeing a civil war that his administration facilitated. Under Mr. Trump, the rate of Syrian refugees has been cut by more than 80 percent, and Christians have overtaken Muslims in total refugees resettled.

“It’s impossible to escape the clear message that there’s a new sheriff in town,” said Matthew O’Brien, research director at the Federation for American Immigration Reform, which advocates for stricter refugee controls.

Of course, this is merely Trump keeping another campaign pledge — not to cut back on Muslims, but to cut back on the number of refugees America was taking in, no matter where they’re from or what religion they claim.

It’s obvious to us by now that Trump is acutely aware of the erosion of American cultural and social mores and traditions wrought by decades of Left-wing immigration policies which have flooded the country with mostly poor, mostly uneducated people without requiring them to assimilate our culture, our language, and learn our history.

This is also evidenced by his displeasure with NFL player protests against the American flag and National Anthem: If you view his disagreement with the protests in the context of his interest in preserving our uniquely American culture, then it makes perfect sense.
