(National Sentinel)Â Entertainment: President Donald J. Trump was the subject of much hatred and intolerance from Left-wing entertainment types at the Emmy Awards show this past weekend, but he used the occasion to take a jab at the show’s historic low ratings.
Hosted by liberal late-night ‘entertainer’ Stephen Colbert, the program was chock full of insults, taunts, and alleged ‘jokes’ all at Trump’s expense. But most Americans must have known that was coming because they stayed away in droves. The show’s ratings were the worst they’ve ever been.
That made the president’s day, apparently, as evidenced by this tweet:
I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night – the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the "DEPLORABLES."

“I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night – the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the ‘DEPLORABLES,'” he wrote, borrowing Hillary Clinton’s description of Trump supporters.
The Emmys, which aired on CBS, got only 11.38 million viewers, matching the all-time low set by the 2016 awards hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. For comparison’s sake, last year’s Super Bowl 51 ranked among the top five in viewers, drawing 111.3 million people.
Several entertainers took pot shots at Trump for gags, but it appears that, once again, the president is having the last laugh.
