(National Sentinel)Â Culture of Violence: A Whitehouse.gov petition demanding that the Trump administration designate the Antifa group a terrorist organization has garnered well over 200,000 signatures — more than double the amount necessary to trigger White House action.
As reported by the Washington Times:
The “We the People†petition, created Thursday by someone of the name M.A., says Antifa’s violent actions in cities across the country should earn it the same designation given to the Islamic State terrorist group.
“It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions — and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare AntiFa a terror group — on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety,†the petition states.
More than 197,000 people had electronically signed the petition by Monday afternoon, just four days after it was created. [Editor’s note: Signatures had surpassed 238,000 as of this writing.]
Tens of millions of Americans have been disgusted by the antics of Antifa thugs, wannabe ‘revolutionaries’ who have been showing up to events in support of President Donald J. Trump since last year with the sole intent of disrupting them with violence.
Also, Antifa and other Left-wing organizations like Black Lives Matter have violently disrupted events on college campuses featuring conservative speakers.
These anarchist pieces of shit are not interested in civil political discourse; they are only interested in raising hell and causing mayhem. They wipe their asses with the First Amendment in the same way their Marxist Democratic allies do.
That said, the petition is spot-on; the textbook definition of “terrorism” is employing violence to advance a political agenda, and Antifa behavior certainly fits the description.
We’ll see how the White House responds. At the very least we have a president who isn’t afraid to label Alt-Left thugs when he sees them, even if most other Republicans are too cowardly to do so.
There is nothing wrong with opposing neo-Nazism and white supremacy; where we have a problem is when people try to forcefully oppose one radical ideology and replace it with another, in this case Marxism.
Neither are appropriate in America.
