(NationalSentinel)Â Media & Politics: The Trump/Pence 2020 campaign is already in full swing, looking to buy ad time for a 30-second spot that most “mainstream” media outlets are refusing to run.
Why? Because the ad takes them and other outlets to task, calling them “fake news.”
But in a stroke of genius, the Trump/Pence reelection campaign – perhaps even with President Donald J. Trump’s direct involvement? – essentially outmaneuvered the media once again. Not only will the campaignÂ not have to spend $1.5 million, but it’s very likelyÂ more people will now see it for free, thanks to the publicity.

Donald Trump’s ongoing feud with TV networks not named ‘Fox News’ has clicked into a new gear as ABC, CBS and NBC have all joined CNN in refusing to run an ad from the president’s re-election campaign committee.
The ad shows hosts from all four networks under a banner that reads ‘FAKE NEWS.’
It’s the Trump campaign’s first commercial since winning the White House, and although it is three years out from the next election, it declares the nation has ‘rarely seen such success.’
The ad blasts the ‘fake news’ media for failing to see things that way â€“ and includes CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Also included are MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Andrea Mitchell, CBS’s Scott Pelley and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in its rogues gallery.Â
Milking the reject for what it’s worth, Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, a reelection campaign consultant, is calling the rejection an “unprecedented act of censorship.”
“Faced with an ad that doesn’t fit their biased narrative, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC have now all chosen to block our ad. This is an unprecedented act of censorship in America that should concern every freedom-loving citizen,” she said during an appearance onÂ Fox News‘ “Hannity” Thursday night.
AfterÂ CNN passed on the ad and then publicized it,Â millions of people flocked to see it. For your convenience, we bring it to you instead:
“The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will only be accepted if that graphic is deleted,” a spokeswoman fromÂ CNN told theÂ Daily Mail.
Well, that’s a pretty high standard considering that most political advertising is 90 percent hype and 10 percent fact. And anyway, serious observers of the news media already know that whatÂ they consider genuine and real very often is not.
Nevertheless, the Trump reelection campaign is getting great mileage out of this – for free.
This is too brilliant to have not been planned.
