(NationalSentinel) If a serious person were to look back over the course of Barack Hussein Obama’s eight years as president, he or she would be hard-pressed to find one thing the man said that was honest.

He said we could keep our health insurance, current doctor and current health plans. None of that turned out to be true.

09-02-16-03-17-18_promo_article_160x600-option-11He said he would lower the national debt because it was “unpatriotic” and “irresponsible” to leave such debt to our children and grandchildren. While he was in office, the national debt doubled.

He preached political unity and comity but did everything he could to undermine both.

He promised a new, brighter day in race relations and they got worse, thanks to his constant accusations of “racism” and “bigotry” as the primary reasons some people opposed his policies.

Now, he is making demonstrably false claims about recent national security actions taken by President Donald J. Trump regarding the temporary banning of immigrants from terrorist-infested nations (something Obama did during his tenure, as well as the four previous presidents, the Congressional Research Service reported last week in this brief).

“The President fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion,” Obama’s spokesman said in a statement Monday, in an uncharacteristic criticism of a current president by a former president. “Citizens exercising their Constitutional rights to assemble, organise and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake.”

First of all, Obama is attempting to make it appear as though he never did anything like this, but he did-19 times, according to the CRS brief. Secondly, he is making it appear as though Trump’s order is banning people based on their religion. It patently is not. In fact, where “religion” is mentioned in the order, it directs the appropriate national security personnel to take into consideration whether a person in a religious minority status in the seven affected countries is facing persecution because of their religion. In those instances, Trump’s order singles them out for special consideration for admission in order to protect them (say, Christians in mostly-Muslim countries).

It is an outrage that Obama has lied so blatantly about the objective and content and intent of Trump’s order, but it’s an outrage compounded by the wholly discredited ‘mainstream’ media for parroting his claim and not challenging it. Nothing’s changed there, either.

At some point, the Trump administration will have to remind the former president and his lackeys in the media that he’s not in the Oval Office anymore. The sooner, the better, for the country’s sake.
